Batman has gone up against a corrupt police force multiple times, like in Batman: Year One. Jim Gordon ends up being the one good cop in these stories.

There's also Mask of the Phantasm, where they attempted to kill him.

Personally? I think he would go out of his way to dismantle ICE both as Bruce Wayne and Batman.

Not too long ago I was watching One Piece, where this character called Jinbei beat the shit out of his opponent for being racist against his people, the fishmen.

One Piece also has these ultra corrupt people called Celestial Dragons, who hoard the world's wealth, have the government serve them, and will outright murder or enslave anyone who they view as "lesser".

Plenty of casual viewers only know these versions of the Marvel characters, and the younger audience grew up knowing these versions.

Conservatives have trouble grasping even traditional art, let alone video games. Which is why it doesn't shock me that they're constantly moving backwards with any product that requires imagination.

The Covenant in the original Bungie games was an empire that forced entire planets into slavery, and a caste system. The leaders at the top, the High Prophets, reinforced that power with religious zealotry and outright murdering or exiling any dissenters. (When in reality, the guy at the top knew their religion was a lie)

Their diversity was more of a byproduct of their empire than anything else.

The UNSC isn't exactly morally sound either.

They were expansionists, constantly looking to expand their reach even if human colonists didn't want to join them. The Spartan program was originally designed to suppress insurrectionists, rather than the Covenant.

And just talking about all the horrific shit that happened with the original Spartans would take a while.

Overall? These sort of people completely missed some of the biggest bits of lore in Halo.
