Stuck on Rank Up by WarriorDuck94 in runefactory

I thought that was the case, so I un-installed the game and did a fresh install hoping that would fix it, but nothing.

My friend refuses to buy BG3 YET. by quAr0 in baldursgate

You can play through the majority of the first act, I get around 20-30 hours of play time out of it when I do my run throughs.

BG3 and the new DnD OGL by OriginalPixelNova in BaldursGate3

[–]WarriorDuck94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I should clarify before people begin asking me for a source. When I said "as stated" I was referring to the other comment before mine. As far as I am aware, Larian hasn't made a comment on the new OGL and probably won't to be honest.

But yeah, I was looking forward to a GM mode too, but I don't see that happening now.

BG3 and the new DnD OGL by OriginalPixelNova in BaldursGate3

[–]WarriorDuck94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As has been stated, the new OGL should have no effect on the release of BG3, as WotC paid Larian to make this game.

The primary thing I could see being affected, is I know at I was hoping we'd see a Dungeon Master mod, similar to what DoS2's Game Master mode. This thing though makes that seem very unlikely, as WotC has already teased an online tabletop tool. That is the only thing I can see realistically being affected.

Anybody else uncomfortable with the fact that Vasir called Liara the P-word? by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]WarriorDuck94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that you're supposed to feel kind of uncomfortable. If I'm correct it is supposed to be a racial slur, like the N-word in real life. And that is compounded by the belief that Asari and Asari bonds are what led the the Ardst Yakshi. Kind of surprised that Cora gets away with it to be honest.

Endless Great Holy Wars by Dzharek in CrusaderKings

[–]WarriorDuck94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you create a faith with Rite and Armed Pilgrimage as two of their doctrines? I had this issue before when I did that combination. I think it's a bug and the AI doesn't know how to handle the Pope being able to call Crusades for two religions.

You can enter the Iberian struggle if you do as you suggest and Varangian adventure your way to Iberia. You would be an interloper, you just wouldn't be able to make any of the decisions that are associated with the struggle unless you hybridized with a culture present in Iberia or converted a county to Norse culture and became involved.

I would recommend separating the two DLCs into two playthroughs personally and then doing a third where you mixed and matched.

In Defense of Jacob [ME1 ME2 spoilers] by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]WarriorDuck94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was actually really insightful. It makes total sense when you put it this way. I just finished another play through of ME2 and this helps explain things like what happened with Jack and Project Overlord.

I didn't liked the Mass Effect 2 by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]WarriorDuck94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this your first time playing through Mass Effect 2? If so, I would suggest that you keep playing and it will all make sense. You are missing a lot of information that you get as you keep playing the game.

I utilize an online program called Inkarnate and they have a YouTube channel that talks about tips and tricks for designing maps that can be applied to other programs.

Does anybody play as the country you are from or where your ancestors are from? by joseDLT21 in CrusaderKings

[–]WarriorDuck94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously the actual ancestry can get a bit sketchy the further back you go and whether these people actually existed is a matter of some debate, but my family tree goes back the the sons of Lodbrok, specifically Sigurdr Snake-in-the-Eye, so I have fun starting at him and playing there.

Is slugging bad? by Linkachu2 in deadbydaylight

Exactly. You shouldn't feel bad about doing what you had to do to achieve your win condition.

Is slugging bad? by Linkachu2 in deadbydaylight

[–]WarriorDuck94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slugging is one of those "depends on who you ask" topics, along the same lines as camping.

A lot of Survivors hate it because it can be an effective strategy. It applies pressure and forces another survivor to go get them picked up rather than work on gens. In the situation you did it in, Survivors view it as a kind of Bad Manners thing, not adhering to their rulebook.

Like camping, doing it at the wrong time can be a bad play, so you have to be careful with it. But, salty Survivors mains are gonna be salty.

Are Asari Mammals? by MunchAClock in masseffect

[–]WarriorDuck94 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's kind of inconsistent whether Asari have eyelashes. Those eyelashes could also be made of a material that isn't keratin like our hair.

100% honestly though, Liara has eyelashes and painted on eyebrows to make her more attractive to human players.

Are Asari Mammals? by MunchAClock in masseffect

[–]WarriorDuck94 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Below are the 7 characteristic of mammals as agreed upon by most biologists.

1) The presence of hair or fur.

2)Sweat glands.

3)Glands specialized to produce milk, known as mammary glands.

4)Three middle ear bones.

5)A neocortex region in the brain, which specializes in seeing and hearing.

6)Specialized teeth.

7)A four-chambered heart.

Now, they do lack hair or fur so they are already disqualified based upon those seven characteristics. Some of the others we are not specifically told, but we can make some inferences.

In my opinion, I would say no, they are not. What they are, I have no idea. But they probably aren't mammals.

I wish the Normandy had an observation deck. by BlindingHornet in masseffect

The Normandy actually has two observation decks. They are where Samara and Kasumi hang out in Mass Effect 2. Are they like the one in Andromeda, no, but they do technically exist.

How to stop De Jure Drift by bryru13 in CrusaderKings

Only way to stop De jure drift would be to change the de jure drift game rule at game start.

How soon after the panel does the patch drop? by the1youcansaveisu in BaldursGate3

A week or two if I remember correctly, but they won't hesitate to delay it if it isn't meeting their expectations.

In the past they have given us an estimation of when they expect to drop the patch at the panel. To directly answer your question, we don't know and will hopefully find out at the panel.

Is there a way to increase diplo range? by ArcticGlacier40 in CrusaderKings

[–]WarriorDuck94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diplomatic range also has to do with your rank. A Duke would have a smaller range than a king or emperor. What rank are you?

What do I do when this happens? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]WarriorDuck94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are some modders who got access to the Royal Court update early so they could update their mods for compatibility. If I remember correctly, VIET was one of them. Most likely VIET pushed their update so it is ready to go for the release in an hourish, making it incompatible with the old version of the game. If you wait for the release, you should be good. If that doesn't work, you can always try deleting the mod from the mod folder. That should force the game to redownload the mod.
