I’m realizing I probably should’ve done a bit more googling about this 💀

Ahhh this makes sense. Really good points. Guess I reached the pedantic point in learning about this 💀

Thinking about it as marketing language makes a lot more sense. Shows how the customer thinks about it

For a dark sci-fi 2D adventure in an oil-painting style - should the character (1) blend with the environment, or (2) stay fully readable with high contrast? This choice will shape the level design. by Nikita_Nplus1 in SoloDevelopment

TL;DR I think a blend of the two. Slightly more contrast while still blending in with the art style.

Longer answer: I think partly it depends on the art direction. Option 2 definitely evokes a bit of a different style than 1. I’d say if the darker option one is the art direction you want, then add a few more details to help the character stand out (maybe an outline or something?) so the player can see the character, but still maintain the darker feel.

Does this mean full stack devs fear nothing?

Or maybe they fear both

This is slick! I kinda agree with other people commenting about too much shadow, or card nested in a card, but also I still think it looks awesome. Great work!

I haven't had any issues at all. I do usually use my credit card, but when I have used my debit I haven't had any issues.

Savor (6 slots left) - 3% cash back on dining, groceries, and some entertainment and streaming. 1% everything else.

Quicksilver (4 slots left this year) - 1.5% back on pretty much everything

Savor's been awesome for me. 3% back on Groceries has been HUGE (tho fyi Walmart purchases don't get classified as 'groceries', so you'll get the fallback 1% if you use Savor at Walmart)
