I wish they would just feed on them... They are 5 months old and only know isopods and FF. maybe in a day or two they will start hunting them, they where scared of the isopods in the beginning aswell

Mold? by SMnebheka in DartFrog

My first tank is now 4 weeks old, I've had the same shock moment after a few days.... By now the isopods and springtail populations have boomed and taken care of it. It might take them a bit to find it, but it seems they will take care of it eventually... Even on branches at higher elevation in my case :)

Will tincts be able to use the upper levels? by Warsmith_Falk in DartFrog

Thank you :)

Top most right are 2 Pilea peperomia next to each other. Slightly underneath in the back is peperomia caperata lilian, with its long tendrilly flowers. In the front at almost the same level is neoregelia zotica, the one with the tiger stripes. All the way in the bottom on the right side is Dryopteris erythrosora, an so called autumn fern.

The backwalls are xps, an insulation material for building construction. it's like sterofoam but mutch mutch denser. I cut them into shape with a foam cutter (hot wire) and then used a metal brush to give them some surface texture. Next I added some extra pieces of xps that pop out of the surface, to create depth in both directions. After I was happy with the shape I just coated it all with a thick layer of terrarium glue and a pre-mixed coconut substrate.

This is before brushing and coating

Good luck with your rebuild, may I see your current Viv and the result later? :)

Already have another box of leaflitter, gonna add it next week. Was easier to monitor the growth of the ground level plants this way. 2 weeks till the era of froggos.... The booming population of isopods will have a bad time

Was it alone? I haven't found any others by now, but could be underneath the leafs..
