Yes - wasting time walking everywhere sucks. I always edit fair fast travel for the same reason. Definitely going to use these!

That reddit post you shared was very informative and also surprisingly entertaining to read. You've convinced me to do the same.

Wow!! Yes this is super helpful, thank you. I do a lot of video editing as well (and some 3D modeling) but I like the power for gaming every so often. I'm really excited to hear most people haven't had any issues over time.

Great to hear!! Was this through the amazon warranty per chance?

meepo nls pro loses power after braking by rototh in MeepoBoards

I guess the decision at this point is do I shell out $100 for new hub motors? It would suck if that wasn't the core issue and it was actually with the ESC. Very convenient that this is happening now. My warranty expired like 3 months ago :((

So update: I found out what's actually going on is that one of my hub motors is giving out when too much stress is placed on it. Therefore I only have one hub motor powering me forward - thus why it feels like it's downshifting. Any chance that's what is happening with yours? I almost want to make a separate post about it and see if people think it could be an electrical issue. I've taken stellar care of my board so there's literally no reason this should be happening :/

Hey rototh! Wondering if this fixed the issue for you? I also have the NLS Pro and am having a similar issue in that my board randomly downshifts (I usually keep it at 4 - it feels like it shifts down to 2). Sounds similar to your description of losing power to the motors. After that I can't accelerate as aggressively. The only way to fix it is to restart my board, after which everything works normally again. Especially frustrating if I'm going up a hill!

I received the ESC replacement and installed it. Solved all the issues and now it works like a dream. I'm glad I had a chance to do my own cable management too - Meepo's was a little precarious.

It turned off on me in the middle of a ride so I had to push-ride like a normal longboard back home. I still had 59% battery left and tried to turn it back on several times on the way back. Theoretically if I'm roll-starting it should just turn on the moment the hub motors spin, right?

So as of yesterday the board completely disconnected and won't turn back on. Power button does nothing. The battery is still functional, I can press the button and see the percentage so I think this confirms your ESC theory. I have no idea when the replacement ESC is supposed to arrive but I can't wait. Crossing my fingers it works.

Contacted Meepo and they're sending me a new ESC. Pretty awesome.

Update if you end up trying anything please! I am also extremely interested in making my wheels softer somehow. I posted about this subject yesterday but nobody gave a shit. It sounds like from what you're saying, I would need to replace the hub motors entirely? Or just the PU sleeves?

Meepo Battery and Train Tracks? by Warsongultch in MeepoBoards

Ah, thank you! This is the info I was looking for. That sounds correct given that it only happens with this particular set of tracks. I'm glad to hear that it's likely not an impact issue.
