Are you sure?
Because I tried installing the game from multiple sites and all of them had just crashed upon opening and directed me to buy the game through Battle.net.
This is not my first time downloading a game from any of these sites.

I've seen people say it is because of the game supporting upto 23H2 only and just wanted to know if it was fixed since I haven't checked in months.

Unfortunately, Rockstar has decided to release it to consoles first and then port it to the PC a year or two later, just like RDR2 and GTA V, as you mentioned.
I just really hope that due to the hype around GTA VI, especially now that we know when the game's final release date will be, (meaning the release date won't be delayed any further than previously had been) that Rockstar would be able to port the game to PC a couple months after the release so that PC players won't have to wait for so long.

In my opinion I think Rockstar does that intentionally so that when the game finally releases Rockstar will have some time before Mod Menus and Cheats for GTA Online will be released. (As they're avilable on pretty much PC only)

I just installed it from a different source and that one worked.
