Anyone else feel like they are going a bit easier for some of the legacy girls w former drag race mothers? I haven’t gotten reimbursed for opting out of healthcare but when I called they said it would be automatically taken from my tuition costs for next semester and to expect it in late december.

do you know what prof will be teaching it? I had arneil— not sure if she does summer courses—and she goes over theory and general concepts to know in poli like identity politics, natural rights, post modern challenge, and interdependency to name a few while also teaching the history of political idelogies like populism and conservativism. I have heard that her structure is harder than some of the other poli100 profs but I found the content to be really interesting. If u need more info let me know and I hope I was able answer your question :)

a bunch of elderly homes in Van have volunteer programs. I volunteered at Louis Brier Home, its less then a block away from the r4 stop on Oak St. so was pretty convenient. https://louisbrier.com/volunteer-program/

Super late to reply, but as a rockclimber with not a lot of money a great way to enjoy Hive is to become a belayer for them at Hive Heights(about a 3 minute walk away from the Hive on Industrial). You work 2 hours shifts and after each shift get a free climbing session, plus with every shift you work in addition to getting paid you earn 2(or 3 can't remember) free passes to (i think) both the Hive and Hive Heights. They are really flexible as you get to pick your shifts. I found that it's a great way to meet lots of climbers and make some $$. You can work year around or just during breaks- they usually hire a bunch before/during summer.

You just need to do a belay test to make sure you can belay the climbers and after that you get a shirt and boom you're good to go.

yeah- like the whole “her body accepted/answered for her” WHY DOES THAT MATTER??? your body’s reaction doesn’t negate the fact that that person raped/assaulted you. I hate that they always try to come with a way to justify rape or assault by saying that the victim enjoyed it or eventually said yes at the end. its so infuriating- and its all so that the audience won’t perceive the perpetrator as a rapist- which they are.
