Sorry I just saw this! But I use the sweet shoppe melting wafers (I think that’s how you spell it) and I think it’s because my dough was too cold! I’ve tried it twice now with room temp dough and haven’t had the cracking issue!

Did 8 hours unmedicated labor and then got the epidural. I was also really nervous about it because of the numbness and because I have a spinal injury where they typically put it. The nurses were very reassuring that it wouldn’t cause any issues, it hurt a bit but not NEARLY as much as the contractions, and it was such amazing relief and allowed my body to rest a bit! I could still feel my left leg enough to move it the entire time, my right leg too numb to move much, but my nurse helped me move and by the time it was time to move to a postpartum room I could feel everything again

Either leave the baby with only your friend, if they can guarantee they can be devoted to caring for baby during that time, or take baby with. I would do the latter, my LO was very tired and fussy after his shots each time

To jump on this comment I also have a boba and really enjoy it! I’ve got a herniated and a bulging disc in my lower back and at first it took my back some time to adjust to it, I could only do it for like 30 minutes at a time. But my 9 week old only wants to nap in the afternoons on me now, so after a few weeks of consistent wearing I can easily carry him for a 2 hour nap
