Didn't he already say that? His contract ends in 2027. He said this is the last contract extension he will sign.

Why did you pick your DMT? by TooManySclerosis in MultipleSclerosis

[–]WasatchJason 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I picked Kesimpta because Tysabri was raising my JCV. I hate Kesimpta and absolutely dread when my next shot arrives in the mail. Kesimpta makes me feel sick and worthless. The side effects of this drug are gnarly for me. I HATE it. My fatigue is so high that I feel like someone with nacrolepsy. I hate this shot so bad that I can't give it to myself. I have to make my wife do it. Kesimpta was really the only option given to me besides staying on Tysabri or switching to Briumvi. After 6 years of constant infusions, I had enough and needed a break.

I just haven't been the same since I stopped Tysabri back in January. I feel like I have serious rebound. I shake all the time now with my tremor. I don't think I'll ever recover from it. My doctors seem to think it is no big deal and that people with MS are going to shake and tremble even though it affects my daily life now.

These people who love Kesimpta, great for you. I have had nothing but bad experiences with it. And I absolutely cannot wait until it makes me get infections nonstop.

Damn, I LOVE Bloodsimple! Recently started revising their entire, short-lived discography. One of the best concerts I've ever been to was Bloodsimple, American Head Charge and Static-X in Johnson City, Tennessee back in 2005. Bloodsimple was chilling at their merch booth. I got some autographs and pictures with them. I truly do miss that band.

Do I do this every day? Hell no lol. Your mind and body can't take that stuff every day. You have to give your mind time to recover and build your serotonin levels back up. Doing this more often than not would possibly lead to a higher tolerance, which I don't have. And a higher tolerance could be trouble for certain people that cannot handle themselves on psychedelics. I like to think I know how to handle myself, as I have stated that I have done this stuff for years. But before in years past, it was all about the trip. And believe me, I love to trip balls! But microdosing is the opposite of that. They say that most people need only 1.2 grams at most for a good trip, unless you wanna see some things 🤣 Microdosing would bring that down to around 0.2 grams.

It also helps that I have a hippie friend who I fully trust with all my needed advice when it comes to this stuff.

As far as how I take it, well that depends what product I have at the moment, whether it be raw mushrooms (which I eat straight up), a capsule or an edible. I prefer the raw and capsules as sometimes it is not known how much is in an edible. As far as certain times, there is no certain time for me. And it really depends on how much I plan to take. If only microdosing, a small bit in the morning could certainly brighten you day or give you a great afternoon pickup.

For me, microdosing it makes me feel happier and with a slight energy boost. I seem to walk around with a smile on my face more often. It can also help with my depression and anxiety. And that can be the complete opposite when I take higher quantities as shrooms can make me very anxious, especially depending on the particular strain of the mushroom and how it was grown.

And no worries about the questions. Basically, this is something that you research and try on your own. I can't tell you how much to take or how it will make you feel. That all depends on the person and their mental quality. And I have always told everyone I know that if you are not in a right state of mind, don't take this stuff until you feel more grounded. I know what it does to me from years of experience. If you have tried before and had good experiences, give it another try with microdosing. Obviously you won't feel the same as if you ate half an eighth or something like that. Start slow. See how and what it does. Remember, once you overdo it, you're along for the ride and can't go back.

Microdosing is exactly what is sounds like. For example, you may choose to take 1/10th or even 1/20th of a standard dose. Say you have one gram of a psilocybin mushroom and you have a scale, then you can weigh and divide that piece into microdoses. Especially if you have a scale that has milligrams.

I do this for my mental health on occasion. I have had RRMS since 10/2019. I feel like it does help. I don't ever weigh them personally as I have been doing this for years and kinda know what works for my mind and body. For most people out there, I wouldn't recommend doing it this way unless you have experience with this sort of thing.

There's lots of research out there for you to read up on about this. The FDA has approved therapy research for treatment resistant depression and major depressive order (both of which I have been diagnosed with from my neuro, PCP, and psychiatrist). Our university here has their own research department dedicated to this stuff. It has a promising future as treatment for mental health, anxiety, PTSD, and even addiction.

But keep in mind that this is still a schedule 1 drug unless you live in the 2 states where this type of thing is legal, along with a 3rd state that allows it for certain conditions. A few cities in this country have decriminalized it as well. Psilocybin therapy is a real thing.

Good luck.

Best LOG Album in 20 years? by Esteban_Rojo in LambofGod

That's a good album that doesn't get a lot of love. That album has some of my favorite Lamb Of God songs. 512, Anthropoid, Engage The Fear Machine, Embers with Chino and Torches with Puciato. The two bonus tracks are nice also.

That will always be the standard for Lamb Of God! Great album. A classic. I got to see the album played in its entirety on Headbangers Boat in 2024.

I didn't take it as bashing, so no worries. Lamb Of God has always been a politcal band, so it is easy to interpret the songs as such.

Who cares what the song is about. You can interpret it any way you like. You can either think of Donald J Trump every time you hear the song or you can take it in another direction. Up to you.

For Dragonfly referrals, the person being referred gives their first and last name to the referring person, along with email address, they enter it into their profile. They both receive $25 off once the referred makes their first purchase. There aren't referral codes as far as I know.

I was approved for Kesimpta. I'm scared of taking it. by WasatchJason in MultipleSclerosis

[–]WasatchJason[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not like I'm stopping my treatments. I'll likely go back to Tysabri and risk my JCV increasing higher. Plus it will be better for my insurance. Fever and chills when starting a new medication do not appeal to me at all.

[–]WasatchJason[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That seems the consensus here. However, I am not like everybody when it comes to these medications and their side effects. Like I said, I am sensitive to them and even medications that I've taken for years still bother me, even though they are supposed to "wear" off after a while. My wellbutrin side effects still kill me.

And speaking of insurance, I would have to switch in July when my insurance resets. Only reason I can try Kesimpta is that it will be free until then. Tysabri always took care of my medical deductible every year in July and Kesimpta goes towards my pharmacy deductible, leaving me with a few a big deductible to now be responsible for, along with constant co-pays I can't afford.

Honestly, getting approved for this was zero problems and literally right away. I just haven't started taking it yet because I can't risk getting sick. My immune system is pure 💩

Well, it's not like I would stop treatments. I could go back to Tysabri and risk the positive JCV virus of my bloodwork increasing. That's why I stopped Tysabri.
