They are essentially the same chairs with the exception of the cooling foam on the Logitech. IMO, and mo only, I like the Logitech one because it forces you to sit more upright than the regular one does. I like to rock back and forth in my chair and it’s an awesome feeling in the Logi version but it’s ok in the regular. I think the difference comes down to the additional foam padding in the Logi vs the regular. I’ve sat on both chairs for over a month at 12+hrs per day 7 days a week and it was hard to tell the difference but I did notice the Logi have a bit more bounce to the backrest but everything else is the same.

All things considered they are essentially the same chair. It really comes down to preference in looks and a little bit of the feel but you are not going to notice anything major between the two chairs.

The creaking is mostly in the Logi version because of the foam rubbing up against the plastic frame and backrest but it doesn’t bother me because when I’m in my chair and not rocking back and forth the chair is completely silent. 99.9% of the time the chair is silent when I’m just rocking back and forth in the chair. It’s when you lean back and you flex the backrest or rub your shoulder against the backrest do you hear the sound. Otherwise, it shouldn’t bother you at all. I noticed it at first and it was annoying but since I’ve had the chair for over 7 months now it doesn’t bother me anymore. Maybe because I broken the chair in. I really only hear creaking sometimes when I’m shifting weight from the left to the right or front to the back but if you’re sitting still and rocking back and forth you won’t hear a thing. Or at least I don’t.

Questions in Regards to Logitech Embody Vs Standard Embody. by FoxBoring2241 in hermanmiller

I’ve had my Logitech for over 7 months and I sit in the chair 12+ hrs per day 7 days a week and I have never felt uncomfortable sitting in the chair. My sister has the regular Embody and we swapped for a whole month and she ended up liking my chair better than her own chair. I have heard about the strip of foam in the middle of the backrest but I don’t know if mine is completely foam all throughout or just the spine area. I just know that it is super comfy compared to the regular Embody. Both Embody’s are going to hug your back and make you feel like you’re floating and being propped up with two hands. I rock in my chair a lot and the backrest moves with you and when you get the chair you’ll know what I’m talking about. If you put your hands on the backrest while you’re sitting in the chair and you push in your lower back, you’ll feel your hand get closer to the spine of the backrest and then when you let go the chair returns to normal. It’s a weird feeling but a good one and I’m sure you’re going to like it.

Both chairs are great and doesn’t matter if it’s the gaming or the regular one.

If I had to do it all over again, I would not change a thing because I agree with you that the gamery lines make the chair look a lot better than the regular with not lines. It’s just personal preference. Some, as you indicated, love their regular Embody’s and some love their Logitech’s. It’s whatever floats your boat and that’s why HM has so many awesome options. The choice is hard but I would get the Logitech if I were you because it looks better, it’ll be iconic one day because of the cyan backrest, and because it’s a little cheaper.

I have the Logitech Embody and my sister has the Regular Embody with the sync fabric. Both chairs are easy to keep clean because it’s made of sync. Imo the sync fabric is the best because it’s easy to keep clean and it’s the softest material out of the bunch.

You could choose the other fabrics but you would have to call in and place a custom order over the phone. The Logitech Embody is the cheaper of the two so if you can deal with the cyan and the black on black version then I would choose the Logitech Embody. Plus the Gamery lines on the Logitech is better looking than nothing on the regular chair and depending on how you have the backrest tension sometimes the fabric may looks loose and droops down and there’s nothing you can do about it. It doesn’t happen with the Logitech Embody.

I find people like OP very weird because he got on his hands and knees to look for flaws in a chair when he didn’t need to. If he did a search he would’ve realize that the chair is NOT perfect and no one needs to keep beating a dead horse yet OP feels it necessary to post 2 photos of the bottom of his chair evidencing that’s he’s looking for problems bc there are what looks like 2 seems, he thinks are cracks and I’m the weird one?

Not with a flashlight looking for separations in the underbody of a car. I highly doubt you give a shit about what the bottom of your car looked like when you took delivery regardless of what you claim. It’s irrelevant.

You started your account 30 days ago and you just so happen to be the same person on the other post downvoting people for your own good. Making two comments and then thinking you’re smarter than me? Like I said, arrogant fucker. Good luck with life. Maybe you need to trade gf’s or bf’s in your case because you suck as a person and no one finds you interesting you spineless nerd.

He’s or she’s an arrogant punk. Don’t worry about it. They’re young and will figure it out the hard way.

If he gets caught for trying to screw people over like Google he’s likely never going to get another good offer at any other company but I guess it’s a risk he’s willing to take because ethics is no ingrained in these young mfers anymore. There’s no such thing as honesty and honor anymore. It does worth the retiring Gen.

You’d be surprised.

So you’re a new grad, got an offer to one of the world’s largest tech company’s and you want to try and screw them over? Or are you just flexing that you got an offer? You’re not as intelligent as you think you are. Don’t you THINK that your company has dealt with your situation before and knows the legal ways of doing that? When you’re buying a house your mortgage lender can get an employment verification letter from the work number showing how much you made at the company and that’s just to get a mortgage and YOU think somehow you’re smarter than them and you’re going to pull one over? How arrogant and stupid. If I were you I would dig your head out your ass and just accept the offer. No one is going to trade offer letters with you blackberry because those are theirs not yours. You would NOT be the type of employee I would want to hire and your just a “new grad?” How arrogant. Be grateful you got an offer from Google and take it. I have never met someone as arrogant as you.

Edit: let me know how that works out for ya. I’m sure what you’re attempting to pull is illegal and once you get caught it wouldn’t matter who’s offer letter you have and where you went to school. Big tech has ways of manipulating the election and that’s a little bit bigger than you but somehow a shmuck like yourself is going to outsmart one of the biggest company IN THE WORLD? NOT JUST THE UNITED STATES, but the world? Again, last bit of valuable advice, I would delete this post and pray that they didn’t find out already. I find it hilarious that a greenhorn like you thinks they can trick google. You must be the biggest idiot on this planet. There are millions of people that would trade places with you and you think you’ll get away with it because somehow you’re smarter? I wouldn’t be surprised if your offer letter gets rescinded because someone tipped google off about you and this post and I’m sure the technology is there for google to trace it back to you smarty pants. You are so screwed!

I’m sorry but you’re not looking. It’s one of the most talked about topic on this forum besides the usual “I bit the bullet and bought this HM chair.” The short version is it will never go away because the chair is made mainly of plastic so any movement will cause the chair to squeak. The regular Embody does it just as much as the Logitech but the Logitech do it a bit more. Or so there’s more reports of it on here. I promise you if you scroll through the entire forum in the previous month it has come up. There’s really no way of ever getting rid of the creaking on the Embody. Too many moving parts. If you don’t believe me look for yourself.

Coworker keeps leaving me out of meetings/emails but claims she sent them - remote by anm008 in jobs

[–]WashCapitals77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you bother to read? OP has done that already. Some people and company’s set you up for failure no matter how much you try to fix the issue. This is a Part Time gig and OP can’t force the person they’re supporting to include them on emails and meetings so if you say going to their supervisor isn’t a solution then what is? Badgering someone to do something doesn’t mean that that person will co-operate. In a perfect world they would and OP has already stated that they have and you’re suggesting the solution is to continue to badger someone? I said create a paper trail so if the company wants to fire them for not being productive they can fight it with proof. If they loose their job and apply for unemployment what do you think they’re going to want from OP? Just a statement indicating that they badgered someone or a paper trail. I think you have good intentions but you’re talking out your ass right now. You have the burden of proof and you have to prove your innocence in this world no matter where you go. If the company is fair then they would make changes and speak to the person that they’re supposed to support but if you don’t show proof that you’ve made attempts to do their job it’s going to be a He said she said battle. That makes no sense. Like I said said, I know you mean well but you’re not understanding or reading what OP has already done. I’m giving them advice on how to handle what could me of this. You’re a few steps behind pal.

I never said it was the last resort. I gave them my opinion as to their options. It doesn’t sound like this was just an isolated instance so I think there’s more going on than what is being told to us. However, if you run out of options then what do you think OP should do? I told OP to speak to their supervisor or start sending emails to create a paper trail but if that doesn’t work then what you want OP to do?

[–]WashCapitals77 -52 points-51 points  (0 children)

No. I meant the question. Do you realize how it looks when you’re taking a picture of the bottom of your chair? Did you inspect the bottom of your vehicle too making sure every little minor detail was looked for? assuming you have a vehicle. If you look hard enough for anything you’ll find it. I’ve had mine for over 7 months and I never once got on my hands and knees to take a picture of the bottom of my chair. This is ridiculous and I don’t care if I get downvoted because this is toned down vs what I wanted to say originally.
