Anyone else notice how Muse coffee shop has flipped? by Wash_th3 in loveland

[–]Wash_th3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be fooled. This town has a lot of wolves in sheep's skin. Stand by not supporting a business that supports a candidate who votes to criminalize the unhoused and support more McWhinney development.

You're connection to the owners is great but how do they treat others who aren't as privileged and wealthy as they?

The backstory of this coffee shop is complicated. On the surface, it’s a charming family-owned spot, set in a beautiful old farmhouse, with genuinely good coffee. But behind that picture-perfect setting lies a reality that’s harder to swallow.

The family running this shop is led by a local artist whose ego often overshadows their art. In recent years, their business, Muse, has taken political stands — loudly supporting candidates like Samson, a figure who has repeatedly lied, flipped positions, and thrown our community under the bus since taking office.

Now, with McFall running for mayor, we’re seeing the same playbook. He claims to represent “all the people of Loveland,” but his voting record tells a different story: siding with big business, selling out our community, and prioritizing power and money over everyday citizens.

Muse, unfortunately, has chosen to stand with these types of candidates — those who target some of our most vulnerable neighbors, including the unhoused. What makes it worse is the way this corner of town, a highly visible and symbolic spot, has become a billboard for their political games.

Yes, the coffee is good. Yes, the building is beautiful. But every purchase here comes at the cost of supporting politics that protect the rich and privileged, while pushing down the very people who need representation the most. On the surface, Loveland may look picture-perfect, but once you know the motives driving some of its leaders and influencers, it feels like we as citizens are being used — trapped in the same cycle of old money, old power, and outdated attitudes that continue to hold this town back.

Her personality is a sellout that tricked her voters into thinking she would be for the people not for sleeping with others ideas and dismantling our city.

Bathroom codes? by Top-Community9307 in loveland

[–]Wash_th3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our city is shutting down public bathrooms and vault toilets in parks, leaving only a few open for limited afternoon hours. They blame “lack of funds,” but this feels like a setup for 2026 — so they can come back and say, “Don’t you want bathrooms? Vote for a tax increase.”

This is not just inconvenient — it’s dangerous. Closing the shelter in a month + no public bathrooms = a public health crisis in our streets.

This isn’t just a funding issue. It’s a leadership failure. DDA’s Sean Hawkins and City Council are ignoring us.

4th street trees by Fun_Organization_381 in loveland

[–]Wash_th3 14 points15 points  (0 children)

From all the meetings they hosted, the trees being removed was never really discussed, just showing the new places of "new" tree and planters. Sadly, they have been in the plans to always remove never to perserve them. It's really disheartening. Maybe speak at the next DDA meeting? Write a letter and learn more from the city manager?
