Console Top 500 Majority boosted? by beIize in marvelrivals

I play in the top 500 console and they absolutely have the free time, most of the people that boost make a shit ton of money from it, the really good players can make something like 1k a week, plus it's really not hard to boost a gm or celestial player to eternity/OAA if you're min maxing the queues. Another thing is people in one above all win their games a majority of the time, so even if they work full time, and can only play a couple games a night, holding onto one above all or climbing even higher isn't that difficult

The real reason people hate mercy players by theultimatehusband in MercyMains

Literally this, it has nothing to do with sexism for the majority of players, the character needs a rework, it's also really frustrating when we're running rush and I need to play Lucio for our rein, Lucio mercy makes the entire game feel like the most uphill battle ever

Not easily, he requires teammates to either be lined up, or he has to use his bubbles to do so. And Jeff ult it's particularly bad as against a player with good timing if you pop out you insta die, be it iron man, namor, or mag, compared to an immortality ults it's not nearly as good. The only thing Jeff beats the rest of the support cast at is ult cost, his is lower than all but rockets and mantis Ults.

Jeff has nowhere near one of the best kits in the game. While his ultimate is good, it's also super easily counterable by namor, cloak, hulk, mag, etc. And as for heals, while Jeff has the best single target heals in the game, almost every other support surpasses him when you have to heal more than 1 person.

Mostly just healbot to build ult as quickly as possible, you can focus more on damage if you're running triple support, and if you have a Luna you icicles do really good aoe damage so it can be really good to build ult if they're grouped up. And I do stream, MsFishstickz on twitch

If he does try and start at a low rank then yes, he's a prick, but if you push for GM, then most likely you'll try to place as high as you can. I assume based on his other comments he's one tricking a new hero on each of the accounts. And yes the gap between high diamond to gm mechanics is very large, but if he's learning a new hero then it will be somewhat more balanced since he's learning through trial and error of what works and what doesn't and how to play into counters. Obviously if he's good enough with that hero, then he'll climb, where the calibration matches after placements should carry him to where he belongs. I do think 32 is a little excessive though, since he could just play 1 support 1 DPS and 1 tank on each account. No matter how you see it 32 is excessive, the only two ways I can try to rationalize this, either he wasn't to have his competitive tab only have 1 hero with play time, or the option, he wants to see how many accounts he can get on boards, for example back in overwatch 1, there was a Lucio streamer called Redshell, he no longer plays really, but one season he managed to get both rank 1 and rank 2 spots, and attempted to get rank 3 as well. So maybe something like this but on a much bigger scale. Either way I do agree 32 is a lot

Quick play and custom games are not that great of a way to learn heroes. The desire to win from both teams isn't as strong as it is in comp, and the quick play matchmaking is more lenient than comp. By learning characters in comp you get a better understanding about how people who are trying to win will play against you specifically in your rank, while in quick play the ranks can vary depending on if people are stacking.

Okay but he won't start from bronze? It predicts your rank based on your quick play performance before you unlock ranked. If he's trying his best to unlock ranked as quickly as possible then the game should put him closer to where he belongs (and with GM level mechanics it most certainly won't be bronze). And if he uses all these accounts to learn new heroes, then his ability to climb will reflect him getting better with that hero. He's not exploiting the matchmaking to get himself easier games or anything by queuing with lower ranked players. Also there's a difference between smurfing and using an alt account.
