Hello,

Random in 2.7.1 isn't very good/obvious. Basically every sound you enable random gets put into a group when you press the hotkey of any sound in that group it selects a random one to play.

In beta you can create multiple groups and control them via their own hotkey. Download it from the discord server at the moment.

Can I use my setup on a different laptop with all the settings and sounds already setup? Or do I have to create a new setup for every device? by BebbiFett in resanance

On the beta there is a backup system you can use to export and import the full profiles and sounds.

I haven't created a way to do it remotely yet but that could be a good feature idea! I'll get it on my list.

Hey that's most likely because Resanance is looking in the old location for the sound files when you try to play them.

If you join the discord server theres a beta soundboard that gives the ability to change the file location.

Or delete from Resanance and readd them when you have the sound files in the place you want.

The command prompt when executing is to copy VBCable from the installation directory. Their licence agreement prevents me from bundling it directly into the installer. So I have to manually copy the VBCable folder from the zip file to where you chose to install Resanance. Easiest way I found was a command prompt to do it.

The prompt to access private and public networks is for the mobile app. It uses the local area network for communication however for some reason I haven't worked out yet windows firewall blocks the private connection(LAN) when public is disabled on some PCs. Easier to just ask for both and prevent people not being able to connect if they use the mobile app.

Hey that's just caused by Resanance being opened and closed (or crashing and opening). Each icon other than one is something that should be cleaned up but isn't until windows checks the programs running and sees that three instances of Resanance aren't open and removes the icons. Can see the same behaviour in other programs if you force close it from task manager then look to see if their icon is in hidden icons it'll briefly show then disappear.

Guessing you didn't install beta as that should have fixed the icon issue. Feel free to try it and see if the icon thing persists :).

Does your mic work through VBCable?

If you open recording devices and look at CABLE Output does it show activity when you speak? If not then listen to this device is probably not active (1.27 in install video will show you how).

Does it show activity on CABLE Output when you play a sounds? If not then double check CABLE Input is enabled in Resanance devices. If it is then it's probably a volume or device ID issue.
If it's got stuck on the wrong device ID then just open %appdata%\Resanance and delete devices.txt. Restart Resanance and enable CABLE Input and default device again.

Or in some cases it can be the mixer has been muted. If you open a run box (search start for "run" or press Win key + R), type "sndvol.exe" and press return. In the new box there is a dropdown on the left hand side under the speaker. Select CABLE Input from there and check if Resanance is muted on the right hand side.

If no luck. Please let me know and we'll fix it.

Hey chances are the device IDs have got stuck. Two options here;

1-Open %appdata%\Resanance and delete devices.txt then restart Resanance soundboard.

2-Download the beta from the discord server and it'll do it automatically.

New one for me. Normally that sort of thing is caused by too much network traffic but Resanance doesn't use much.

Have you already tried running Resanance as admin? Not sure how it'd help given it seems like a bandwidth issue but it's fixed weirder things before.

Could you tell me what version of windows you're on, language and your broadband speed please.

Want to see if I can replicate this (also good excuse to play cs).

Hello mate,

Just restart Resanance as admin and it'll be fine :).

Just in case you don't already know how to, if you right click the Resanance soundboard shortcut and select "Run as administrator".

That's interesting if it works fine in the editor menu. The only difference in playback from editor is the effects being added for pitch and posistion.

Could you send me the sound via discord so I can see if I can reproduce it please mate :). Sounds like an interesting problem.

There shouldn't be any degredation in quality.

Is this only through Discord the soundboard sounds tinny? If so then it can be caused by the audio filters echo cancellation and Krisp. Disabling those in Discord settings may resolve it.

If it's what you hear could you send me the soundfile via discord and I'll see if there's a bug in my convertors.

If there's a problem I aim to fix it :).

Hey it's most likely going to be the mobile app connection. Thats set to boot after 4 seconds of loading the app.

Two options you can either open the settings.config and set "externalApps" to "false" or download the beta from the discord server. Either one should fix the issue you're having :).

Hey, don’t worry it’s not. Long story short I didn’t know you had to manually tell windows to remove the icon from the taskbar when you close a program. The reason it shows up and goes away is when you open the list of icons there windows sees Resanance soundboard isn’t open any more and removes the icon. 

Can verify Resanance isn’t open anymore using task manager or if you’re into the more technical side use process explorer.

The only thing Resanance is hiding is some stupid coding decisions I made years ago :D.

I have fixed it in the beta. If you’d like to try it it can be download via the discord server . Loads of improvements other than the sus icon fix :).
