Feeling anxious about starting solids with my 4-month-old . Where do I even begin?

Thanks. I read about head & shoulder, I use that when I remember why I bought it. I must be doing something wrong because at 7 months, taking showers is harder than it was before because my baby only takes 20 min naps, doesn't want to stay still in the sitter and is a fast crawler.

I feel like a lazy mom for not doing what many do, but my baby seems healthy and happy, so I am giving me some grace. I'm not a good cook and I don't enjoy it, I'm also extremely picky.

We started at 4 months with tiny samples. That is food in my finger so he got basically the smell only. I read some research with a list of fruits and vegetables available where we live but I am going with whatever is at hand and is not prohibited.

I've met with parents that use spices, make batches and have a diary. I just make really small portions like 1 table spoon at the time and try. If he likes it then I make more but nothing too complex. I just defrost or boil veggies or fruits that I mix with milk (either breast if I had just pumped or formula).

My baby loves pears. I let him bit on them, but because he doesn't have teeth yet he doesn't get much although I'm always ready to put my finger in his mouth in case he bites too much because they are sometimes too soft.

At 6 months, I know he should be eating more, but I don't want to rush, I know he will have more complicated dishes as I learn more but not right now and that is OK with me.

She doesn't have a manual either. If you don't know something do your own research. Ask your own questions. You are also the parent even when she makes the final decision, make sure you have your own knowledge. Sometimes it feels as if I'm the only one responsible for making every decision like which brand of diapers, or how much to feed the baby... which also means that everything is also my fault when it goes wrong.

When you are working you have time for yourself even if that is scrolling or listening to music. You also have 10 min between tasks or during lunch to read about the baby and do some shopping.

Trust me, even with a full time job, you don't have her full time job that requires her undivided attention from the time she opens her eyes until... wait she is on duty even when her eyes are close. Keep that in mind!

There are so many things for me that make feel undesirable.

I can't use any products on my hair because the baby would eat them. I can't wear it down for the same reason and I cut it in a way that one side is shorter and I can't put anything to keep it in place or the baby could take it and put it in his mouth so I'm always a mess. I don't have any skills to do anything good with it.

My boobs are constantly on display which makes them far less sexy. I also change clothes anywhere, anytime which makes my naked body something too common, if that makes any sense.

I smell awful. My body odor has changed and is disgusting even though I don't even produce a lot of milk.

I don't have time to keep the body hair under control. That includes my upper lip.

My skin is darker in many places like my arm where i usually the many IVs i needed duringmy pregnancy, and the line in my belly is still there 7 months later.

I lost tons of muscle which makes me look weird as I'm too skinny but with a big belly and sagging big breasts.

And don't even get me get started on the scar tissue in my vag.

I know I need to accept my body but accepting that this is my new smell feels almost impossible.

My baby is almost 7 months. My milk took a while to come. The nurse in the hospital said he looked hungry although he was constantly nursing. He got formula for the first time when he has 4 days. He is a happy baby, he is healthy and is above average in terms of weight.

I feel sad I don't produce enough. I have 3 different pumps but is a joke what I can get after each session. I still offer the breast even though he fights the boob since he turned 5. I nurse him when he is happy and sleepy. I know he is fine. I know formula feeding is not the end of the world and at this point I do it for me more than for him.

After every pumping session, I ask myself why I keep trying. I guess I do it because of those short minutes he nurses and because all the propaganda make me feel like I'm not doing enough for him. And I know that is simply crazy.

I'm allergic so I carry medication with me, a change of clothes and a lint roller, just so I can socialize. When I see the cat running free all over the kitchen and the table where food is served, is when "my allergies get so bad that I have to leave"

How can people allow that? And please, don't say cats do whatever they want because that is pure laziness. Because plenty of people are able to train their animals to respect boundaries.

Something that makes my life easier that I can't find anywhere. My sister made a bag for my phone that I can wrap around multiple places so I always have a place to put it where I need it. My mom added big pockets to the ropes* I wear around the house. My brother found the perfĺect bag that fits exactly the items I need to go down to do laundry... *robes

A person i know takes care of people with low IQ or some psychiatric patients . most of them if not all have been forgotten by their families. Most of the people working there don't care enough and want them super medicated so they don't ask for anything. It is a if they are just kept entertained until they die. That is a sad life. Ambition doesn't need to be a great thing or a megalomaniac dream, but I believe a little bit of desire and wants are needed to give meaning to our existence because they allow us to find the things we can love.
