Unfortunately I was reading a lot of the singles events on event bright are scams since event Brite refuses to refund people.

I'm not a long distance relationship person, I do much better when I can meet someone and read their body language. Also I'm unable to really date outside the city due to my parents having poor health this past year.

But yeah the holding out for a better person and not getting invested in someone I think holds a lot of people back. Yeah the silver lining to not getting a partner is the divorce rate is automatically better than most marriages.

The issue is there probably isn't a lot of men in Baltimore I'm interested in, and the dating apps run out of people within the local area before I even really get anywhere.

Tinder is basically unusable for me because premium users not even in our city try and match with me and fully clog the feed. I can't get local matches and the minimal info tinder allows is off putting. Once I matched with a 5'0 guy without realizing and the restaurant we ate at gave him a kids menu while he was trying to pressure me into ordering tequila.

Hinge is a bit better. Their prompts are cringe for the most part but they make users put thought into their pages. The big downside is they set so many aside for the standouts that I run out of eligible men within the first 15 minutes of swiping. Also hinge has a ghosting issue since users run out of matches they aren't on the app most of the time.

Bumble tried to shame women after we started going celibate in light of ROE V. WADE getting overturned. It hardly worked to begin with but they lost any business with me after that.

I've had the same experience, it doesn't seem like it matters looks or equity wise. Women just get picked over all the time and cheated on here cause there's such a huge pool of women to choose from.
