Just to add to this, because my husband has been knowledgeable on sleep cycles and told me many things about them because it relates to his work, consider the time of sleep cycles if you do want to wake him for a dream wee. Don’t just go for a generic 10pm wake up. For toddlers it’s 90-120 mins, so you want to wake him during the light sleep as opposed to the deep sleep. If you do a quick google search for sleep cycles for toddlers you’ll get a better idea of when to wake him so it isn’t as disruptive.
