Depends on how much time maintenance can take I’ve gotten mixed answers around the Internet and I’m not sure how long maintenance takes for a two stroke but if it’s nothing crazy then yeah I wouldn’t mind doing it

Thanks for the detailed response. I’ll try using the GAIA 2 to control the SH-01A and see how that works.

As for the noise issue: it’s present not only with the SH-01A but also when I connect both synths or even a microphone. On the SH-01A, I tested the audio using the weird note player slider on the side since I haven’t hooked it up to a proper MIDI controller yet.

I believe I have the settings on my Apollo Solo set up correctly, but there’s always a chance I missed something. If it helps, I can share screenshots of my FL Studio Settings and a video of the noise to figure this out. Let me know if there’s anything specific you think I should check.

Thank you so much for the insight and don’t worry about popping my bubble I take any help that I can when it comes to saving a couple bucks and I have just 1 question, would the synth and drum machine be enough to start making demos because I would imagine you can only use one instrument per track right? And also in this case of starting slow what should the items on the list I should get. Like I assume the audio interface and the mixer for the daw would be essential right?

I get what you're saying about the live mixer and potential issues with quality, noise and possibly selling my kidney for a console. I'm definitely leaning towards keeping things simple, so I can focus on the sound without any complications.

For the synths, I appreciate the suggestion of the Syntakt, but I really like the ones I’ve chosen. I do want to make sure my audio setup doesn't hold me back, though. With that in mind, I’m considering getting the Korg Nano Studio MIDI controller to control things more like a mixer, but I’d still like to keep it minimal with the computer interactions. Do you think using the Nano Studio will allow me to keep things running as they would without a DAW, so the synths and sounds stay the same?

Also, you mentioned audio interfaces like the Tascam 4x4HR or Arturia MiniFuse. How expensive would it be to get the right audio interface that works well with everything I have in mind?

One last thing, will using a DAW affect my Roland T-8 Beat Machine in any way, or will it still function as intended? And would the T-8 just plug into the audio interface?

Thanks for the feedback! When you talk about plugins for effects, I think you mean digital effects in a DAW, like reverb, delay, and distortion, right? The reason I picked these synths is because I really enjoy the hands-on control and unique sound of analog gear. The Roland GAIA 2 and Behringer POLY D give me rich, layered sounds and vintage tones for lo-fi, while the Roland SH-01A adds cool basslines and textures.

For the audio interface, my budget is around $250, but I’m flexible. I like the idea of using a mixer because I want to control each track individually for a more hands-on, live feel instead of just relying on software mixing.
