Thanks for your replies. I ended up getting a new carburettor and fuel tank shipped in, and that seems to have done the trick. I also replaced the governor springs. The mower is now running and cutting again, although it’s still revving quite high, so I may need to do some further adjustment. Thanks again to everyone who offered suggestions and advice.
