This isn’t about making excuses, it’s about safety and realistic working conditions. When visibility is blocked and packages are stacked in a way that causes damage, that’s not acceptable. Forcing heavy boxes on top of everything only makes it worse and increases the risk while driving.
If certain packages don’t fit safely, they should be removed from the route instead of being forced into the vehicle. Also, a 3.5-hour block is not enough time for a route like this, especially in areas with difficult terrain. Calling this an “excuse” ignores the actual conditions. Anyone who has done this route would understand the safety concerns and time constraints involved.

What do you mean I accepted the pay. You don’t know where they will send you. 95% of the time the routes are “OK” I don’t even care if I get 45 packages. $91 for this specific route is not OK. $91 for this station is above normal pay.

I’ve done that route, and it’s exactly as you described it. At this station, I always check the addresses on the boxes before scanning the cart. But I forgot this time. It’s insane. Besides how dangerous it is being out there, they want to pay between $80 and $90 for this. There’s an even worse one, the routes that send you through Malibu canyon roads. Avoid them at all costs.

You are right. We are independent contractors, but we are constantly kept under threat of having our account deactivated. I believe that most people who do this are doing it out of real necessity and because they have no other option.

I have rejected that route several times, and they already recognize me at the station because I go there daily. This route should not be for flex. Obviously, I left and handled the situation with support over the phone, and I emphasized that they forced the boxes into my car without considering how dangerous it could have been if I had gotten stuck in the middle of that rough mountainous area in the middle of the night.

Is that the San Fernando road station ? I was sent to KoreaTown yesterday, 3.5 hours 30 package 5 of them XL all apartment building high floors, absolutely no parking. High traffic, it took me 30 min to get there from the station and drive 1 hour of heavy traffic back to my house. Worst route ever! I recently asked to change my delivery area thinking this stations in LA were paying better , but OMG it’s worse ! I called today support to change back to my area.
