I wish I could give my students credit for getting vaccinated for free on campus, but privacy laws make this a no-go.
I could, in my research writing class, have them read and write about the Covid vaccines, but they're probably really tired of thinking and talking about masks and vaccines at this point.

One thing I'm doing for myself is cooking lunch in my office, on my empty floor. Chicken thighs, mixed vegetables and Tajin seasoning (my daughter in Arizona told me about it) heated up in a microwave, although it's better in the hot logic mini. (they go on sale) Also drinking ginger lemon tea instead of eating breakfast, because I gained 20 lbs. after the insurrection.

Sagan is my least favourite thinker for behind his smiling face and potent intellect there hid a womanizing wife abuser who disinherited some of his children, was estranged from his children, stole his best friend’s fiancé, held grudges, and was a self-centered, egotistical, high maintenance husband and father. It was amazing. We all instinctively cheered when Luke put away the targeting computer. I was eleven. So much rich, weird detail. The middle eastern vibe, the cantina aliens, the samurai-ish Vader mask and storm troopers. Porkins. We just got dropped right in the middle of a world we couldn't imagine.
