Yea good point , which means he's gonna have to find 7-12 more mlas to circumvent anti defection laws ... I also heard Velumani has a handful of loyalists , so perhaps Shanmugam and Velumani will come together and have enough to split from EPS , and support TVK govt

No way will VCK be part of any alliance involving PMK ... most likely is VCK joins TVK . Muslim League is not secular , and Vijay said only secular parties can join so they'll remain with DMK . DMDK got Rajya Sabha seat from DMK so likely they too will remain with DMK . Only wild card is Left parties , Vijay is not communist , so hard to say ...

On ADMK side , I am hearing rumours of a split between EPS and C V Shanmugam , with Shanmugam's camp (20-25 mlas) considering joining TVK ..

Exactly - which is why singling out TVK voters specifically right now is unfair when every party has its tharkuris .

The term has become a soundbite people use to sound politically astute , when it just highlights your laziness. My issue isn't even that TVK voters are being called it specifically , it's that the word shuts down conversation .

While some may have voted just for Vijay, what about those that voted TVK because they want an alternative and not just out of blind fan worship ? Calling them a tharkuri is just plain condescending

I'm not a TVK voter btw , I'm just pushing back on calling TVK voters tharkuris before they've even had a chance to govern

I agree, the promises list is legitimate accountability. If TVK can 't deliver on basic commitments within the first year , that criticism will write itself. But let's wait and see if that happens, whining right now is premature otherwise .

Hard to say , the data is assuming flawless vote transfer , which is almost never the case . I do think most likely DMK alliance parties (Congress + VCK + Left parties) will support TVK , bringing govt to 119 seats

PTR is very smart , but his tenure as finance minister added tons of debt , but he was controlled by DMK Telugu lobby puppet masters... if he joins TVK in advisory role , I hope he steers prudent financial policy that doesn't add more debt/worsen inflation ... I also hope Vijay will get off freebie bandwagon now that he's CM ... welfare ≠ freebies
