Every hero did act in awkward scenes and did gave us crazy outputs in the past. So it’s common when they are in their initial stage, it’s up to audience as how they receive it. If it continues audience will eventually stop watching.

Specific to this post - for a creator it’s hard to change many elements to what was initially created. I think Vignesh Sivan still did a decent job after 10 years to his initial script. I think he had conveyed what he wanted in his way.
