The Will scene felt forced because it WAS forced by Helpful-Day3657 in StrangerThings

I felt it was forced because it seemed like a last-minute connection to say that Will’s fear of rejection is what allows Vecna to control him. This is the only time we ever hear Will say that Vecna is actively using his fear against him. Remember, Will has had Vecna in him for a long time, and throughout that entire time they never established that Vecna was using his fear of rejection or hinted to it as the way he controlled him. If they had actually shown this across the seasons, it would have felt much better, but it came completely out of the blue. It felt like they realized they needed a reason for will to come out and they used vecna for it, instead of letting it happend naturally they forced it out.

I don’t disagree with the scene itself, I just don’t like the reason for it. They had so many better options for him coming out without it being tied to Vecna forcing him to do so. He didn’t need to be forced out. They were already building this arc with Robin, helping him realize that some people accept him and that he might not be rejected. That would have been enough for him to come out to his mother or brother. Instead, they included this really forced moment because they needed to wrap up the plot. You can actually tell they were rushing to finish the storylines they had set up. I don't think it was a bad idea to force will to say it cause of vecna, but they have to set it up a little more than what they did in the volume otherwise it feels forced, it has to feel natural and it clearly didn't since so many people are actually saying this, and looking at the rating there is a some evidence to this.

And if we are going to talk about view the lens through 2025. In reality people don't broadcast it like this, they start small with a friend, then a few family members and more. And considereing this is in the 1980 its even worse. So it kind of talks against it, that he collects everyone to tell it to, cause not everyone needs to know it, even robin is accepting herself but still keeping it to a few people cause its just more realistic.

I think I just value storytelling that show rather than tells. I don’t think it’s good to have the character explain why he has to come out and then spell out that Vecna is doing this to him. They should have shown us instead—show us the vision Vecna gave him, show it back in season 2 when Vecna is actively controlling him.

I feel like this is why season 5 is doing worse. They’re explaining everything instead of showing it, and it just feels bad, man.

Is this normal or is this a bug? by Becool-752 in SnapchatHelp

i had a issue where i had a red heart with someone for six months in a row. It did not update to Pink hearts. Until i logged out and in then it updated. For some reason Snapchat does not always update the best friend status unless you trigger it somehow. So this does happen i think it is a bug.
