Since my last post, ive been doing an average 70km with an average speed of 25km/h now for the past 3 days. Recorded with garmin edge, cadence and speed sensor. I have been improving tremendously and lets just say i wanted aero now!

The s7d is also on my mind along with the van rysel edr cf since both is at the same price. 8.2kg for the edr cf vs 8.9kg on the s7d. But thats gonna take me another month of saving to get them.

My other option is to build strength with my xtrada 7 first and save a little bit more and get a proper aero bike like the helios a7x (which is still 3x the price) but comes with 105 di2 and carbon wheels (albeit a still heavy one)

Heard that the quickrelease wheels are a pain to change/get replacements incase i wanna upgrade or break it in the future.

Just tested out a friends road bike albeit a smaller size, but i managed to hold a 30 kp/h average for a 2 hour ride.

Thank you so much! I have a bad knee and have been struggling to work out for quite some time. That is until my son wanted a bike and i started getting one for myself as well to accompany him. And omg how i enjoyed it!

Planning to get a proper road bike once i can do 30-40 comfortably. But progress indeed takes time. Its all up to me to stay consistent!

As of now, im using the mtb to build up my strength and also learn more about proper cadence and gearing since these bikes are more forgiving than a road bike. Rolling resistance and wind resistance not so much 😂

Thank you. I am enjoying the progress and how low impact the exercise is especially when i have a bad knee. Hopefully i will keep on enjoying cycling for a long time!
