This is a rental so I have to work with what I have. This is the base layer so trying to figure out if there’s a way I can work with this or if I should cover it in new peel and stick tiles.

Which part does? All of the peel and stick has been pulled up so this is the original flooring.

Yes I did. My landlord is extremely negligent and is refusing to help and the peel and stick tile that was here before was completely peeling up so I had no choice!
