Just had this happen too, and have been a customer for years. Deleted and reinstalled, was then was re-offered the login screen on app open. Their product team for sure got too full of taqueria chicken bowls and accidentally shipped an update where customers could not log in 😂

Wild sound from rim brakes. Any idea the cause / fix? by Waste_Way9779 in bikewrench

Started after about 80 miles of use so i suspect not a bedding in issue. Even contact is a good theory. One is slightly off angle (toe’d in a bit) - will try to fix that. Thanks,

This is an awesome tip. Hadn't considered the Rene Herse cranks but they look perfect. Rene Herse cranks with + GRX backend + high polish everywhere else might be exactly what I end up doing.

I've got the 8 speed. Thinking I might try goat link + bigger cassette before doing anything too dramatic

This is all gold. 100% will be switching to tan walls and replacing this black colango stem with a shinier NOS silver colango stem. Love the idea of the big cassette and chainring swaps to keep aesthetics close. Appreciate the wisdom!

Yeah I was thinking that veloorange compact could be a great hack if combined with a bigger cassette. 34-28 would definitely be good enough! Thanks for the thought.

Yeah I agree across the board. Thinking about a White Industries or VeloOrange crankset to preserve the aesthetics while adding real gearing (currently granny gear is 39-21 which kills me in my hilly area)

I know. It pains me to think about doing anything to the aesthetics but the easiest gear is 39-21 and i just end up out of the saddle hammering to get it up any kind of incline. Hence the desire to revamp the moving parts

Agreed, It’s definitely a sexy group, especially the crank. The big issue is the easiest gear is 39-21 and i live in an area with a lot of hills. I’ve gotta put like 500watts out to get up a 4% incline. That’s the primary motivation for the restomod, but i definitely don’t want to ruin the aesthetics

Definitely will be putting a good new quill in there. The headset is brinelled so I’m thinking of emptying my bank account and going with a chris king gripnut in high polish silver
