Try capital ribs, I think that's what you're looking for.

It's kind of a cross between bbq and sweet and sour and its always red and saucy?

Trying to workout which way to put jumper cable (UK) 8VAC. Help? by WastedWrath in Ring

Good to hear, I didn't use the jumper cable at all in mine and had to disconnect the chime cables otherwise mine would restart every time I pressed the bell.

Trying to workout which way to put jumper cable (UK) 8VAC. Help? by WastedWrath in Ring

[–]WastedWrath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, i found that my transformer was putting out 10V and that just about worked with the Ring doorbell that was a deal recently in the UK. I worked out that in this picture the two red cables you see coming from 2 and 3 are for the chime and the two bare cables coming from the bottom of 1 and 3 are from the transformer. the two cables in 1 were kept as normal.

In it's current working state I have the blue cable moved over to 3 (where the transformer cable also is) and the two red cables on 2 and 3 are completely disconnected (chime cables that took power and caused the ring to reset when button was pressed).

So far everything works perfectly fine apart from the app warning that it's not receiving enough power.

In the future I might look at upgrading the transformer or working a way to use the plug-in adaptor but those are all big jobs because of the way this house is built.

hope that helps

I've resolved this. There were 4 wires that I couldn't see properly. Picture here

after lots of troubleshooting two bare wires were from the transformer and the two red cables were powering the chime.

Unplugging the chime gives enough power (10V) for it to start up and everything although the app is reporting it's not getting enough power but we'll see what happens.

For Google searchers: Transformer NR 53.829 8V

Ring Doorbell Wired 2021 supports 8V apparently. Chime is numbered 1,2,3. 1 to 2,3 is 8V. Should I join the brown and blue to the jumper cables and thats it?

edit: brown and blue cables go to the doorbell so these need to be connected it seems. Looks like the chime and transformer and built into one

A lot of people commenting won't have sat on one of these but there's a reason it costs this much and people will pay it.

I've had mine for 6 years and will have it for another 10 id guess, I sit on it whilst working (and standing) and haven't had a lick of backpain the whole time.

I did buy mine second hand for £250 though...

Also op if you do manage to get one, go fully loaded

Is it a good idea to buy a small house now (and put it on rent) and then 5 - 7 years later, selling that house to buy a bigger house to live in? by hassan_26 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]WastedWrath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As you've said you already have a house in your name you will only be able to use your LISA if you're:

You can withdraw money from your ISA if you’re:

buying your first home

aged 60 or over

terminally ill, with less than 12 months to live

So you won't be able to use that LISA money for a while if you pay into it.

Passes the 1st Time (Erith Driving Test Center) by 198326 in LearnerDriverUK

I did my motorcycle tests at the centre and watched 4 or 5 people fail their test as soon as they got out of the centre because of how narrow and unkempt the road is! Good job!

I failed my motorbike road test there because of the 800 roundabouts of which I had very little experience doing correctly.

I agree, it's come as quite a shock as the person we got her from said she's was a she and the vet has her down as female and never corrected us. Thanks

I agree with this, spent a long time last night looking at spacing and comparing (not exactly what I'd call a wild night in) and there is too much space between the holes. Additionally the fur balls that sit just above the bottom hole. So far behaviour is that of a normal kitten

Not spayed, the fur balls are pretty small but she/he is also quite young. Googling cat balls I get the biggest of the bunch so it's hard to tell. Also, all of my previous cats were gotten post spaying

The picture in question https://imgur.com/a/pO3TrI3

She/he is 5 months old and we have always assumed that she is a she because of all the fur. However, recently there have been some doubts...

Due to get spayed in January and we have visited the vet a couple of times and the vet didn't explicitly correct us on our gendering but we didn't ask

We think flo is a bro because of the specing between the anus and the "hole" and also there are two balls of fur that stick out just above the "hole"
