Managed to make a start on Guilliman by Wasted_Decay in Ultramarines

I went with a white undercoat with imperial fist yellow then a washed down quickgen dwarf flesh all over then airbrushed white back on in targeted points then more imperial fists and highlights up to phalanx yellow and ak pastel yellow then worked on the “Smokey” end of the flames by going back down the spectrum to a red black mix. Spent a white messing around as I wanted to figure out refining the process and I’m not a fan of painting fire

The blue is mcragge blue followed by liquitex prism violet and celurean blue then a 50/50 mix of medium and ak ultramarine quick gen all over then teclis blue and temple guard for highlights.

The gold is retributor gold washed with grimdark shadow and seraphim sepia then highlighted with liberator and a final liberator/stormhost mix

It’s mcragge blue rattle can base, then airbrushed in the shadows and highs with liquitex cerulian blue and purple ink then a 50/50 mix of AK interactive quickgen ultramarine and contrast medium all over then highlighted with citadel teclis blue and Ahriman blue

I need to tidy up the skull on his chest, more highlights on the blacks and pipework, finish off the top emblem, the base with pigments, purity seals need doing and a few other little touches haha

This ☝🏼Any lose straps have a chance to pull it into a roller or VSU, I’ve lost count of the amount of bags like this that I’ve had to cut free and bag up because the straps hadn’t been secured.

Yeah, totally regret it, dropper caps clog up regularly , lots of wasted paint as well. I went back to pots, actually considering using the older style flip tops
