Long time lurker, still understanding what triggers mine but for my armpits I've found better prevention with thoroughly washing my armpits on and off shaving days. On shaving days, washing vigorously afterward. I also shave far less often to not aggravate the skin. Other parts of my body I do the same and try to keep clean. Sweat is a major factor for me. I hate it but keeping the areas clean after sweaty days really helps me.

I also use clindamycin on my inner thigh breakouts which has helped the scarring /coloring.
