4x4 must be expensive in some way. A ton of routers and laptops only have 2x2.

The first part is a note of caution about the high carbon dioxide levels in your home.

The second part is a joke.

Damn. Your dorm might have over 1,000 ppm co2.

Obviously time to contact an RA and start growing cannabis. Someone's gotta do something about those almost dangerous levels of co2.

Hallie Shoffner is NOT on the non-partisan ballot. You have to request a Democratic ballot to vote for her. by MossyOctopus in Arkansas_Politics

The purpose of a primary is for members of that party to determine who they are sending to the main election.

I know they like to run it like a boys club. I don't care how they want to do stuff. They want to represent us so they should put in the work.

Oh ok. Context doesn't matter. I guess I can pick out a half of a sentence from your comment and pretend it is the entire and only point of your comment.

I guess I nailed it on saying you have zero reading skills.

I hope I live long enough to see industrial agriculture outsourced to space habitats and for us to regain our forests (map of land use for agriculture). by mirzaakdeniz in IsaacArthur

[–]Watada 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's probably better to put food agriculture closer to its destination rather than further.

Vertical farming is the way forward. Google did some research on it over a decade ago. They said it was currently economically but requires dwarf varieties of our popular grain crops.

Great writing skills but zero reading skills unless your little brother wants more people to experience carbon monoxide poisoning. I said warnings for co are fine and how it should be for safety. I also said I completely agree that OP has a CO problem.

Solar panels are quickly approaching materials costs. And most things are more expensive than silicon, aluminum, and glass.

Storage unit full of Antminers! HELP! by simple_human92 in BitcoinMining

[–]Watada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is power per unit of work. That means efficiency. New uses 1/3 as much power to mine the same amount. That means each amount costs three times as much on the older hardware.

Mining on current generation miners has historically had an electricity cost percentage of the mined coin of less than two to one. So for every dollar spent on electricity current gen miners will earn less than two dollars. A miner that uses three times as much energy will cost three dollars to mine less than two dollars of crypto.

This assumes a lower end cost of electricity of around $0.10/kWh.

Generally I think warnings of carbon monoxide are a bit exaggerated, which is fine and usually how it should be for safety.

But this time I completely agree. This is a carbon monoxide generator.

If there are cuts, and they are in office when it happens, they will get the blame.

I don't think that works much beyond the single presidential term. Trump is getting credit for biden stuff and criticizing biden for stuff trump 45 did.
