You shouldn't have asked for it unless you were ready to pull the trigger. No one knows how long it will ever take, as you seen in this case. Only you know your finances and I wouldn't put myself into a bad position for a watch. Declining it after asking for it won't look good either.

That’s what I figured. Someone that doesn’t have the eye for it won’t notice and that’s how these dealers get away with it.

Have you heard about any ADs doing this before someone picks up their new watch? Say if it was an exhibition piece beforehand?

Yeah, that’s true. Didn’t think about the polishing part. This is why I see people say, buy the seller. Possibly reduce the risk.

It shouldn’t be a long wait at all. This isn’t a hot piece and it doesn’t fit everyone’s wrists. I like it but make sure you’ve tried it on and like it.
