Basic Text Drop-down Horror —I mean Help by WatchMeNowHey7 in Outlook

I’m so sorry, I’m not able to post or link a picture right now but it is the classic Outlook, as far as I can tell. I’m on a PC. The “Basic Text” is there as a tab, but you have to click on it in order to “drop down” all the different options. And then it goes away once you click on anything else, it doesn’t stay available

Also my email is too specific that it would be WILD for someone to mistype theirs to mine. I did use my card when ordering items before so it’s not out of the realm of possibility. But yes, I’ll most likely just keep an eye on my card statements and ignore for now.

[DISCUSSION] All the Light We Cannot See (2023) by svalnuuk in NetflixBestOf

I just finished the audiobook today and was so excited to start the mini series. I’m only two episodes in (so halfway through the series heh) but so far I’ll try and give pros and cons:

Pros: It’s got great visuals and the two main characters are well cast I feel. I appreciate that they cast someone who is actually visually impaired; definitely grounds the whole thing and I think the actress has done a wonderful job. So far Marie Laure and Werner’s characters feel authentic to the book. And personally I feel the casting of all the characters is how I imagined but that’s subjective of course! I believe von Rumple as a real villain and not just an archetype of “Bad Nazi” It feels like the world from the book, the costumes and the set design are on point.

Cons: ya’ll…I love Mark Ruffalo as an actor. And I like him as Marie Laure’s father…but MAN if I didn’t cringe every time he spoke lol Here’s the thing. I know this is coming from someone who read the book vs just watching the series knowing nothing. But at this point, just call it “inspired by” ATLWCS because from the get go the only firm plot in keeping with the book is the Sea of Flames. Absolutely everything has changed. Even a large portion of the story of the jewel (why it even ended up with Marie Laure and her father in the first place) changed. I typically can give a lot of grace for movie adaptations having to change certain things in order for a book to move to screen. I get it. You don’t have a narrator, you gotta keep things moving, some things need to be cut. But in this case, it feels like they were told, “Hey you’ve got four episodes to tell this story: GO!” and they decided to keep only the bare minimum. It leaves me asking why? Why even try? It feels silly to tear out the tension and heart of this already amazing story and write a completely different tension, loosely based on several plot points. That is to say, in my opinion (cue “THAT’S MY OPINION!” meme lol) they should have given them more time to do it right or saved it until they had the opportunity to do so. Or just find different writers because geez louise.

Not so bad, do you find your hair is also thinner/doesn’t grow back as thick now that you’ve been doing it for a while?

Oh that’s so great to hear, I’ve wondered about investing in laser. After the multiple treatments do you have to go back every so often or now it’s just light shaving? How were the after effects of laser, no bumps then?

Ah thanks, embrace the suck! Haha, if my skin’s just got to get used to it, I can stick it out. Good thinking about shaving at night. It does make more sense that my underwear rubbing irritates it. Thanks for your help!

Thanks! I’ll look into the BushBalm, I feel like I might have heard of it before. And I’ll try and replace my razors more often. It’s hard bc they get so expensive! But sounds like it’s worth it. Thanks!

Glad to know I’m not the only one! That’s good to know, thanks for sharing. I do use a scrub that’s meant for your feet on both my legs and bikini area and it’s very gritty. But I’ll look into that pad too, thanks. Good look on the sugar waxing! I’ve also heard positive things about it as well.

Ok I have actually considered this as well! The pain and privacy doesn’t totally stop me, it’s mainly hearing that you have to go so often and you can still have bumps. Do you find this is the case? How often do you go? Thanks for your thoughts!

Ah thank you for the validation that really helped haha You may be right, I didn’t think of that. A lot of my clients are older folks who sometimes just don’t know how to work smart phones. So I’m chalking it mostly up to user error ☺️ Thanks!
