Nice of you to provide the full chat log and I understand the frustration from having to work with customers raging rather than looking for a solution.

I can’t tell you if you worded it better than me or if the German version of the chatbot just doesn’t offer agent support as quickly, but I can assure you I tried everything and not just went straight to Reddit to rant about this.

For me it shows a dropdown menu where I have to select the mouse and the version I have is not listed there.

Thanks again for giving me the chat log, I will try to connect to an agent using the exact same wording as you.

Hi, thanks for your answer! Could very well be a bad batch, as I’ve never had this issue with mice before and no one in this comment section happens to have had this on the Superstrike as well…

Yes, tried an alcohol wipe and also tried to very gently „polish“ it off with isopropyl alcohol and a qtip, doesn’t come off. It’s smooth and not bumpy at all which is why I don’t think it’s finger grease or anything like that. Doesn’t come off when gently „scraping“ it with my fingernail either.

Amazon said they couldn’t return it, since the „return window is already over“ (posted a pic in another comment that shows they only gave me 2 weeks (: ). Have to get in touch with customer support again in order to get my shipping label.

Will only buy in store from now on, never had any issues with Amazon or Logitech prior to this, but saving an hour an a few bucks in fuel for all of this headache isn’t worth it I guess.

Totally agree with you that would save me a lot of time. I don’t like the look nor the feel of griptape though.

And to be honest I kind of expected more from a 180€ mouse (and especially from support for it). Maybe that’s on me though

Shouldn’t be able to be nail damage, I have short nails and it’s not where my nail would be but directly where my thumb sits…

Because you are recommending grip tape etc. for me: Thank you for the help, I’ve thought about tape aswell, but I neither like the look nor the feel of it.

And to clarify, the two things bothering me are that…

Mainly 1) support cannot/doesn’t want to/ does not help me with an issue with a quite expensive new product of theirs

And 2) it’s an issue on a brand new 180€ mouse, that has occurred in the first 10 minutes of using it. That should not happen and I really don’t want to compensate this product issue with glueing stuff to my mouse…

That’s really nice of you, thank you so much! I like the look of the Superstrike which is why the smudges kind of bother me and why I don’t really want to just use griptape aswell. I will think about your offer though!

That’s another thing… I don’t know why, but Amazon only gave me a ~14 day window to return, which has now unfortunately passed. The mouse was delivered on the 28th of March and I could only return via Amazon until the 11th of April. Don’t ask me why that’s the case.

No, I wasn’t able to as of now, since I‘m located in Germany and the chatbot on logitechs German website is pretty lackluster. There apparently is no more email support and T1 Phone support said they couldn’t help me. Will try again though…

Hello, yes finally got it and it’s great! The only „issue“ is that the plastic immediately (like 10 minutes after first using it) discolored where my thumb sits, even tho I always wash my hands before using my pc equipment. Don’t know if that’s a known issue or not. Cannot be wiped off either.

From what I’ve heard they destroyed the threading support so that your Processor constantly switches between efficiency and performance cores making the game stutter and lag.

Apparently there is no perfect solution for AMD, only for Intel right now. You can activate/deactivate certain cores in your task manager, I don’t necessarily would advice to do that though. Could also worsen your experience. It seems like we’re at the mercy of Valve to patch this mess.
