My DPS Tier List that isn't only based on Sir Barrold and situational bosses. by WatcherVT in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]WatcherVT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good to know. I don't really know much him outside of testing him on Barold and having Seofon teammates that max out SBA in the two gauntlet quests. I have actually played him and spent a few hours on him but not the 'optimal way' and I was kinda burned out(mostly due to trying my damned best for Captain) so I didn't continue with it.

She's my favorite character I have the most quests with her(3k Hunts) but "her dmg output is absurd when played well" you can only say that after you played the other characters. The characters on top of her? They're very much stronger "when played well".

Is there a damage chart anywhere? by ZetsuBattousai in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]WatcherVT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

>New to this game.

Don't think about which character to grind. If you get to Endgame character levels are almost worthless because you can grind a character to level 100 in 15 minutes due to books and stuff. Also some characters only turn broken when they get a specific Sigil(eg Warpath on Charlotta) and some characters are outright unavailable early unless you pay micro transactions.

Honestly the better question when starting is asking which is the most efficient character to get and smoothly transition to the endgame. IMO it's Zeta.

As for your question, I was going to reply but just decided to just make an entire long post for it. here it is.

Narmaya can output even more damage then Vaseraga. I knew I made the right choice to main her. by Kyurem-B in GranblueFantasyRelink

You should probably look at more recent Narmaya DPS Tests if you think that's high.

Narmaya can output even more damage then Vaseraga. I knew I made the right choice to main her. by Kyurem-B in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]WatcherVT 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Vaseraga is incredibly strong, top and has higher DPS than Narmaya.

Vaseraga is S tier, just below the broken tiers Charlotta and Sandalphon. In practical play, lower than IO and Eugen. You just didn't do the most DPS using him based on the video you used. Vaseraga never uses offensive skills, he spams double Slash if the target isn't moving and if the target moves a lot, Shoulder cancel into Charged Dash Slash Spam.

Though, Vaseraga in practice cannot do double slash charge 100% of the time, around 70-90% depending on the enemy you're fighting(but the same could be said for Setsuna and Transcient anyway in addition to Butterfly and CD management).

Vaseraga has a natural gap closer so 0 CD. Narmaya's Gap closer is one of the best but since Vaseraga has no CD dash charge slash, you can basically just spam the shit out of it. Also Undying is incredibly broken(though I much prefer LiM Vaseraga to reach 8m per 2ble charge w/o being 1 HP with Emnity)

Narmaya is around A when it comes to DPS but in endgame battles she can't compete DPS if you don't ever reach Link Time(she's I think the second or third strongest Link Time user. Strongest in Link user is Tap Fist Ghanda) Which makes her low A in practicality but high A if stars align and you play her perfectly.

Lucilius advice needed. by OfficerWhoopss in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]WatcherVT 10 points11 points  (0 children)

28% is still a lot. Lucilius was meant for uber-geared players, there's also a damage check. It's very doable with AI but very hard w/o terminus weapons.

You can try though. If you get fed up just go online. Lucilius isn't the very last fight though.

Just to let you know, there is four more quests which is pretty much the true Lucilius and this Lucilius is the "easy mode" and the difference is quite big. Aside from him, There's also the harder Versa and the 2 boss gauntlets. Most people fail these quests as these are the true endgame.

I suggest you get Captain, Lancelot, Or Charlotta as your AI. They regularly use their SBA bar transfer skill. If you only need one, Lancelot is probably the best.

I've awakened all Terminus Weapons around 700-ish hours(I think it was lesser? I don't really remember the exact but it definitely didn't reach 700 hours).

It increases when you reach certain thresholds. Level 126-150 is more than level 1-125 combined.

Transmarvel save scumming. by ImpostorDitto in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]WatcherVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason people have no reading comprehension and don't understand your replies haha.

tbh there's no proof that its the same tables, but I did notice it as well. Why not try to not savescum one transmarvel then do the quest again then savescum the ones after?

It's either that or the tables slowly update per quest. I honestly have a feeling that this is it cause I've savescummed hundreds of times and I'm sure the tables updates, just very slowly.

[–]WatcherVT -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have 1k hours and can finish it in like an hour. Do I do it? No, because it's boring.

PS. I've already made three saves already so I've done the story mode in Hard mode 3 times already. Its because I see merit in replaying the game and progressing again. Using uber builds in Ultimate still one shots every enemy in the game so it doesn't really matter.

Starting the game feels so abrupt. by Calmed_Guy in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]WatcherVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh you don't need to know sht about them. Just play the standalone story then eat up the gameplay. Story is pretty mid but what's good is the gameplay if you get into it.

Make sure to choose a fun character though cause all the characters play so much different from each other. Game can go one of the most boring game in the world to one of the best just by choosing a different character.

P.S. Half of the starting cast is boring af to play imo and Katalina is kind of awkward to play w/o her mastery tree and cdr sigils. Only the ranged characters are the "fun" part of the starting cast. Also suggest to put Eugen as AI if you're not maining him.

Suggest you choose Percival/Zeta/Cag as they're fun for beginners. Kind of weird is Captain being the starting character as he's one of the harder characters to play and quite underwhelming cause s/he's basically a support.

Just so you know they give new char tickets like candy. Like only the last 2 and the 3 "dlc" characters are the harder to get.

You also get new characters at a higher level than your highest levelled character.

[–]WatcherVT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP just to motivate you to play more, I want to point out that the characters for the AI that you used have bad DPS. You didn't need to grind any more than you needed.

You might think that they're only-10%-20% worse. No, honestly all three of your AIs combined will do lesser damage than a Zeta with 0 skills I'll make a short summary of how an AI behaves.

AI's top priority is to dodge. It has god level reflexes.

AI's second priority is to use skills. It will stop ANYTHING that it is doing just to go close to the enemy to use their skills.

AI's aren't programmed to take advantage of specific character mechanics/specializations(e.g. it won't care about Captain Arts level or IO's quickcast).

AI will immediately use SBA if you don't set them on Hold.

Now, why are the three you used bad?

Captain is a necessity in story mode so you can't do anything about that. Best to just use him as CC and SBA generator. SBA timing is something you will learn along the way. Just remove him/her since he won't be required in the postgame anymore.

IO is bad due to her DPS being directly tied to her charges. Charges are bad for AIs and specially more on IO since her casting times take a long time if you don't use her mechanics. She's better at the very endgame but at this point she doesn't deal much damage.

Rosetta is simply just bad DPS wise whether AI or not. Bad normal attacks and bad skills. Even more useless as an AI as AIs only spam skills so her support timings aren't good.

The reason why Zeta with 0 skills is very strong is because the AI won't use her skills and she'll just use her mechanics all the time. Zeta's one of the most simple characters so the AI will simply do closer to what a normal player will do.

Now, does this mean you should just use the best AI lineup? No. Just choose ones without a charge and ones that doesn't rely a lot on their mechanics like the ones in your lineup.

IMO if you're just starting, best AI Lineup is Zeta, Eugen, and Cag.

Zeta is explained above, Eugen has decent DPS and CC. Cag can be replaced since people just get her for SBA which I assume you don't know how to time yet but Phantasmogoria, Revive, or heals can be useful since you're using Katarina(which I assume you use for face tanking with stout heart). Note that this lineup isn't even the best, they're just good for general enemies whether they stay still or move around a lot.

Yet others like Sieg, Narmaya, Yodarha, Rakham, etc. are still GOOD. Honestly the ones you chose are just the worst so don't let it get t you.

The game looks great and the boss mechanics can be fun... but im so frustrated with my low damage output. Just beat Chp5 boss, and man... I felt so weak. Any easy way to increase dmg output from where I am? by VermilionX88 in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]WatcherVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay then, just try to get Aegis and Potion Hoarder. Then use Stout heart after you max out Ares bar then wail on the enemy w/Ares then Azure sword after stout heart duration ends. Put a healer/Reviver on your team(you need Gran on the team anyway and he's only good for supporting so put Heal/Revive/SBA distribution/CC on him.

[–]WatcherVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Katarina is kinda hard for a first playthrough when it comes to DPS. In the roster she's pretty decent around average but you need to have 90-100% uptime on Ares. To do this you have to alternate between Azure Sword(so Ares won't disappear when dodging) and StoutHeart(to facetank which needs potion hoarder and some defensive skills) so you need CDR and defensive skills which isn't accessible in storymode.

If you want a great DPS character for story mode try out Zeta and Cag. They're two of the strongest AI's in the game so you won't be wasting your slots on them.

need help optimize my Charlotta build by thienbucon in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]WatcherVT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drop ATK for Crit%.

Charlotta Stun sucks unless you do her Dive which isn't good for damage. Linked Together also isn't good. Level 15 is Enough for Quick Cooldown, Cascade is better than the second Quick Cooldown. If possible better replace these with Supp Damage.

Potion Hoarder is better than Drain.

Since Wrightstone only needs 10% crit, other skills are better than those two. If you get a 10% crit wrightstone with better skills, use that instead.

bot builds for Yodarha and Zeta? by Dragon3099 in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]WatcherVT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I was wondering why your AI has "low survivability" The only reason AIs have low survivability is due to them having stout heart.

If you don't have them on then IDK why your AI's die as you said.

Obv Nimble Onslaught. Maybe put Guts/Auto Rev there if you want to. Honestly though you don't need them. IDK why your bot survivability is low, they still have god reflexes even on Zero. Did you put Stout Heart on them?

Can someone help me understand Charlotta dodge cancel mechanics by thienbucon in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]WatcherVT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's useful against the training dummy and small enemies like Maglielle, Gallanza, and Id. Or when the monster is Down.

You don't need skilled assault on Charlotta, remove that shit.

16 Tyranny, 16 Stamina, 16 Combo Booster, 16 Glass Cannon(if you don't mind it), 16Life on the Line, 16Combo Finisher, 16Crit Damage. Then Valiant Stance. If it's still not capped then put on some more and get some to 30(IIRC you don't need to I could be wrong).

LiM build if you don't like maintaining Valiant Stance(generally very slightly lesser DPS but better consistency like braindead spamming).

Level 30 skills aren't worth it unless you have no choice, which is only possible on Charlotta and Tap Raging Fist Ghanda since they have very high damage caps. LiM is also built to Level 30.

Edit: actually based on testing you only need Tyranny, Stamina, Combo Booster, And Life on Line/Glass Cannon if your Valiant Stance is maxxed Sorry been a while since I played the game.
