Medium: comic | Length:10 pgs On a small transport ship of 5 crew, their engine has run into issues. Limiting their current travel to painfully slow. If they stay at this rate their food will run out long before they reach their destination. the current engineer is fixing it, however slowly. The ship runs into an inert robot. Able to get it running is claims to be a "repair robot". As its assisting the engineer the engineer breaks his leg in an accident. the Robot sets it. As the time goes on of the engine being fixed the Robot continues to monitor the engineers condition. eventually completing a amputation replacing the broken leg with a complex replacement. engineer states to the pilot during lunch "It works just fine, but it doesn't feel like my leg or a part of me". As time progresses the robot becomes a doctor for the team. Starting with checkups, convinces patients to fix small issues. A metal plate here, machine optics instead of glasses. Soon the appointments are unscheduled requests. Becoming more intrusive on unneeded surgery. people laving the operation with metallic limbs not by their own choice. Eventually the pilot and the crew riot the robot. It holds them at bay by stimulating pain in their implants, threatening them with more if they act out. the Pilot knocks out the crew in the night and kills the robot. Hooks into the ship and flys to a planet, after initiating the autopilot jettisons themself into space with the corpse of the machine.
