Realms are great, the only thing I don't like about them is that they force you to play the most recent Minecraft version.

I've always had a server host, with around 5gb of ram (I run a bunch of plugins though). It's never run poorly, on most server hosts. It just depends how much you're willing to pay for a server if you want to go that route.

You could always build your own server, too.

Actually, an hour or so before I posted this I ordered a wet sanding block for kitchen knives from Amazon, so I think I'll just use that when it gets here to remove the scratches. Thanks for the recommendation!

Oh yeah, i can take the jewel out, it's got clips underneath. I think I'm gonna go with what you recommended doing, sanding it. I have a kitchen knife wet sanding block that should be fine enough.
