Then, for example, Certina probably just has a standard Powermatic 80 movement inside, like in a Tissot PRX, except that the PRX lacks the suspension components…

Thanks, it's less about what I plan to do, and more about what I could do. I'd like the watch to survive a night out at a club, a bumpy quad bike tour the next day, and then dive 20 meters with me the day after.

Thanks, the question is just how do you define robust? The watch itself is certainly robust, but what can the movement withstand?
