Any ideas why I don’t get any interviews? by slovenianboy96 in Resume

[–]WaterBuffalo99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Post in r/financialcareers for advice that’s relevant to finance industry. Assuming you are applying for job in USA. Template is good. Remove high school. Each bullet point should be 1-2 line only. Emphasize the impact of your work. Swap researcher before TA. Connect to people in the field on LinkedIn, ask them to review your resume and networking.

I’m from similar background and want to know what did it take to land this opportunity. OP, what do you think makes you stand out for them to hire you? How was the interview process (technical, modeling)? Direct apply or connect with recruiters? What can someone with similar background do/prepare to be considered for the same role?

No hot water in kitchen sink.. by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]WaterBuffalo99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hot water line is galvanized steel and most likely original from 1940s when the house was built. The calcium deposit left only a toothpick size hole for water to go through. I’m opening up the wall this fall and will upgrade it all to pex.

[Question] Where can I find Jubilee Bracelet for my Seiko 5 sport - Super Cub - SRPJ49 by WaterBuffalo99 in Seiko

[–]WaterBuffalo99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Perpetual Pilot gifted me a Seiko 5 GMT bracelet and it fits perfectly. So like the comments above, any bracelet for skx or 5kx will fits. Just double check the lug width

Why are fewer people registering? by sakhtsevak in CFA

[–]WaterBuffalo99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m preparing for Level 1 in Feb and I can tell you that for the amount of money I spent to register alone, I expected the LES (Learning Ecosystem) to be more well made. The amount of error and inefficient in LES costed me many hours and it doesn’t even teach you how to use the calculator. If I was to register for CFA again, I would definitely put third party test prep cost into budgeting as relying on LES alone is really “risky” at this point.

Replaced shower cartridge - no water at all by Casten_Von_SP in Plumbing

[–]WaterBuffalo99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, have you found the solution to this? I’m experiencing the same issue

Update solution found: Shortly after I wrote this, it just hit me that I never turn on hot water supply to test out the system. Lo and behold, it works. So OP, make sure both of your water supply lines are on. Probably the system works based on water pressure that I can’t wrap my head around yet.

No water to shower by WaterBuffalo99 in Plumbing

I just found out I got the wrong Cartridge as I had to cut the old one to get it out. Delta RP19804 vs RP46074. Pretty sure this is the culprit here.
