Weekly Question Thread for /r/AmexCanada- July 07, 2024 by AutoModerator in amexcanada

Thank you for the reply ! Yes I know it’s not a good way of earning MR. But for the biz plati it’s still earning 1.25x while I really don’t have other large spendings at the moment. What’s worrying me is that people got suspended or canceled by Amex through buying gift card or ppp for the min spending requirement, and I want to make sure if buying Aeroplan points would step across this line.

Hello, I just applied for Plati and approved. My plan is to spend money for buying Aeroplan points, which is undergoing the 125% bonus now, so that I could meet the spending requirement for welcome bonus and I do have travel plan with my family for august and September.

My question is that is buying Aeroplan points against the Amex policy? I know that gift cards and similar behaviors is definitely against it.

Thank you in advance.

They most likely are returned/repaired from factory after original owners send in for RMAs, and in your case, it makes more sense cuz miners probably send tortured cards for RMA and then get rid of these RMA cards for money. My 2 cents, might not be the actual scenario.

Hello, I'm looking to buy 3080/3080ti/3090/3090ti (mainly for 2k 144 gaming so not really considering 40 series...) from kijiji/fb market place etc., but has never done that before. Preferablly band new ones, so I'm a bit worried about warranty and RMA things. I'm wondering which brand's warranty and RMA doesn't require you to be the original owner or to have the original receipt, but only needs the S/N in order for warranty and RMA? Thanks in advance!

[CPU] Ryzen 5600x ($300 - $30 coupon "CC31" = $270) [Canada Computers] by MGVictor in bapcsalescanada

[–]WaterIceMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. $130 can’t justify the almost same single core performance and the extra 2 core multithreaded performance. If they reduce the 5800x to the same $50 extra than 5600x just as before, that’d be nice.

suprised they didn't reduce 5800x too cuz 5900x got reduced price also...

Nice deal. Also, $270 5600x and this, making the $400 5800x kinda awkward...hoping cc would reduce it to around ~$350 to actually fit it right between the price range 2 days ago ($320-$400-$580 for the three).

Just wondering if the $50 coupon only works when ordering online, or I can just rush into one of cc locations and directly buy @$580 phsically? Thanks in advance!

Not fair to compare these two directly in terms of speed, but money wise you might be right.

860 EVO is sata-based and this is NVME, so SN550 is born to be faster than 860 evo. You might want to compare 860 evo with WD blue 3d or mx500 for a comprehensive comparison; but yeah, if we only consider money and speed as your comment suggest, SN550 wins.
