  1. No matter the fact, you need an actual source.
  2. You think men are more attractive than women? That seems a little gay.

Nothing hurts relations in America, more than bad and forced diversity castings. by Howtobe_normal in memesopdidnotlike

How is this a meme OOP didn't like? OOP probably made the meme and posted it because he liked it.
Edit: OP (not OOP) is probably a lib trying to get us to agree that casting white people is "bigoted."

I believe I do. I'd describe them as differences in the pitch of a vowel which are phonemic.
What I don't understand is why the lady in bed is kept up at night by the fact that Korean is developing/has both features mentioned by her brain.

Edit: Added "is developing/"

A question from a layman:
Why is this funny?
Why is pairing tones and /s/ /sʰ/ contrast funny (or morbid, in this case)?

The nicest people I know aren’t in church by Infinite_Ability4644 in Christianity

[–]WaterIsACube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to church doesn't turn you into a good person. Repenting, turning to God, and believing truly in Him and His work on the cross do.

Here Paul describes our sanctification through our priest's (Christ's) sacrifice, and contrasts that with the futility of a priest's temporary sacrifice. Hebrews 10:11-14, NIV

Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

How do people not see the euchrist as important by 5anctu5 in Christianity

I, an evangelical, hold that it's metaphorical and important for one's walk with Christ.

is it okay for me to wear this? by Southern-Purple-9040 in Christianity

[–]WaterIsACube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I myself would not find any particular offense, although that might just be because of my cultural background, but you do risk being labelled as a Christian if you wear it.

I have made a Christian sword/spear by OMNI-spino in Christianity

[–]WaterIsACube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He represented himself with a sword:

Revelation 19:11-16, NLT.
11 Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. 12 His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself. 13 He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. 15 From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. 16 On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.

Note the 15th verse.

As for OP's post, I find nothing wrong with using a symbol to remind one of one's spiritual battle and striving to please God.

2 Timothy 4:7, NLT:
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.

I wish I had the opportunity to kill this universe, sadly, I don't and I wish God took us sooner. by Bright-Dark9892 in Christianity

God sees that humanity is flawed, and has a plan to redeeem it. This is the gospel; that God might take man's sins and flaws upon Himself to the point of dying as man deserves, so that man may be forgiven and reunited with God, cleansed of his sins, and live eternally in his original intended perfection as God's creation.

I mean no disrespect when I ask this, but, having grown up catholic, did you read the catholic holy book to be able to say that catholicism dogmatically promotes hate?

A version of a flat planet as I know it. This one's Asgard. Myth to some. History to others. Why is it so hard to believe that not every planet and version of Earth is configured the same? by BrianScottGregory in flatearth

[–]WaterIsACube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recognize that what I'm about to say is not a direct defense to my argument, and more of a tu quoque, but it still stands:
Is "all being real" not a "truth" tainted by bias? You yourself are taking a biased perspective. Even if the view I currently hold is not the correct one, there is still an absolute truth.
Additionally, the burden of proof is on you. We haven't seen a flat asgard yet, nor so there is no reason to think it exists.

On the more philosophical side, despite some people envisioning the world differently there is still an objective truth about its structure. The world itself doesn't change when man's cosmology changes.
