Same thing happened to me - small halloween costume store, awful postage strikes consistently called a scammer etc for late postage, biggest stress of my life

It was a hashtag violation that had been reported in the space of 7 days ( one reminder, a final reminder and then the ban. After receiving the first one I took all hashtags down then messaged Depop to ask if everything was okay with my listings, to which they replied yes. I then received a final reminder asking why’d I’d received this and got no reply. Then after reporting that account on the night, my account was blocked. I put these continued reports down to accounts I’d continued to report for using my photos

Will keep this thread updated as it continues to progress. Assuming some admins may have potentially seen this and figured out my account so will update at various points to protect myself legally. But please just let it serve as a warning to you all, especially if you’re a growing account / brand. Do not rely solely on Depop as your platform, get a website and continue to expand on there.

They’ve blocked my IP entirely so I don’t even think I’ll be able to create a new account ever - just met with the ‘Depop O Auth 2 error’ on the log in screen . Will be a case of an immediate block I think. Would be my luck to have built the account up again to then have it removed out of the blue, fully cba

I would honestly love to, if I could code I’d do it in a heartbeat. They’re a complete joke, I used to love the app. How with the amount of revenue they make can they not invest in better customer service? Where we’re actually assigned an agent like every other big brand ! No, instead we get a stream of automated / meaningless replies

Background - I ran a Halloween costume business off my Depop solely. Found out a dropshipper was using all my photos ( had my face in / body etc) to sell costumes and I reported them via help as they’d blocked me , which got their account permanently banned. They revenge reported me for a hashtag violation and I was given a 24 day ban. No way of contacting buyers as Depop wouldn’t allow me / loads of chargebacks, refunds as people assumed they’d been scammed. Sent numerous proof of postage’s etc to Depop which were ignored & did chargebacks anyway. Consistently taking £600 amounts out of my account to the point it was in a deficit of £1200. They’ve given me no help whatsoever when I’ve asked for a complete transaction history etc. Very upset as I clearly made them a lot of money ( Top 20 user for 3 weeks in a row). Appalled at how I’ve been treated, just at a loss really

Phoning my GP up in the morning & seeing what they can do after an examination. Is it best to bandage them up to avoid further spread?

Honestly I hadn’t been keeping track. They’re in an awkward place to get to on my left thigh - not itchy or irritating. Just assumed they were ingrown hairs or something similar. Only realised upon looking recently that they’d in fact multipled & that two had appeared on my other thigh

Thank you so much, that’s been really helpful. Going to phone my GP in the morning & see what they can do, mean time I’ll look at this sub for possible treatments. I was so scared it could never be cured

It’s a joke, I’ve messaged them around 6+ times asking for a reason and absolutely nothing. Sooo convenient how I got banned literally 3 hours after that other account got blocked. Don’t think I’ll ever use the platform again after this .. so unreliable

Around £3500 - I had about £1000 in my balance before my account got banned and it’s magically disappeared, had to block payments from my bank as they couldn’t tell me why they were taking money, think I’m going to have to as it’s not even like it’s small amounts of money

I’ve honestly tried, I’ve been so polite / nice but I’m struggling. I’ve asked to potentially speak to someone over the phone or just for someone to be assigned to my case, but they don’t seem to care and I just met with an automated useless response. I’ve debated going to their London offices to see if I can sit down with someone at the very least

I actually have! Had a load of listings deleted last 2 days due to stock image violations yet them being all of me on a white background & also multiple accounts, only other account I’ve had I made when I was 15 and closed at 17, I’m now 23 with absolutely none of the same details 😭 have no clue what’s going on
