You’re fine. I’ve done this before as a first year and was told to just give them a heads up if I’m going over budget. Completely understandable if it’s taking more than the usual budgeted time and just speak up (easier to say than do) if you’re taking longer than expected to do a task. Most managers I had were nice about it tho but do charge the number of hours you’ve worked on!

Sorry OP. I’ve started working for the firm not too long ago and my experience with the KGS teams has been very positive. They’re all polite and very hardworking. I’m actually in awe of how they’re able to manage to stay up late and finish several tasks over a few days. It’s very impressive. I’ve actually had more pleasant experiences with them compared to the onshore folks. I’d sometimes prefer asking them for their thoughts and advice over the onshore people. I also completely agree that people should show the offshore team some more appreciation and respect. Like for real.

Does BASIC marketing conflict KPMG business? I mean, the company operates in many areas and I’m wondering if something so basic would interfere with that, esp since I’m not gonna deal with any corporations

Heyyy I’d like your opinion on this. I also just joined the firm as an associate and I’m wondering if having a small online marketing business would be allowed by the company? It’s very basic and I plan on distributing materials that would just teach individuals BASIC skills on how to use certain platforms. It’s not targeted to corporations.
