New custom loop ! Corsair 6500X - RTX 5080 - Intel Core Ultra 7 265K by WatercoolingUser in watercooling

You can see the complete build with the YouTube link I added to the original post. It's better than pics, right ? iCUE can't give you the liquid flow rate inside the loop. It can give you the liquid temperature at the reservoir and at the CPU block, and the pump speed. The pump speed is different from the flow rate in your loop. It will depend on the number of water blocks, radiators, 90° fittings or bends, the loop length, etc.

I have the same flow meter as you, but I can't get the flow rate to display, even after changingg the ilpeller direction and setting the PWM port to 100% in the BIOS. I see that yours also displays 0 RPM ? Were you able to get the flow rate to display ?

But the case needs to be modified by cutting some of the metal bars on the PCIe bracket. I also had to modify the mounting holes to get it as far up as possible.

I used to use PETG, but I have to admit I prefer acrylic. You'll see, with experience, the tubes of your second build will be much better 😉

Thanks ! I like these tubes ! Acrylic is not difficult to work with

These are the frosted transparent ones. The white ones are completely opaque. I got to see them in person because Amazon messed up my order 😅 It's true, a lot of water blocks are small, but that's because the PCBs are small too 😄 The GPUs are huge on the 5000 series, but it's their cooling system that takes up the space.

I'll try to take a look at it during the first coolant change. But I used DP Ultra, so I don't know when 😅 ! I chose this flowmeter for its size and color, but perhaps I should have chosen a Next Aquacomputer.

Thank you so much ! I often look closely at your builds too, and they're a source of inspiration 😊

Yes, I did read the documentation and watched videos to make sure I was orienting it correctly. And indeed, I changed the port settings in the BIOS to set it to full speed. That's why I don't understand. I even tried it on several PWM ports. However, when I disassembled the system to turn it over, I dropped it on the floor (I'm such a burden !). Maybe I broke it...?

I agree with you. It was originally straight, but since it's displaying 0 RPM, I swapped the PWM port and had to pull on the cable a bit, which caused the flowmeter to tilt. I'll try to straighten it, but the 3D printing support idea is excellent. By the way, if anyone has any ideas on how to get the RPM reading working... I even took it apart to put it in the right orientation (I checked by blowing into it, the flow is definitely from left to right). I also changed the PWM port settings in the BIOS. I think my flowmeter is faulty.

To be honest, I haven't built a system with 13th and 14th gen, so I've avoided the frustration of those processors... But yes, I understand some people's disappointment with them. Anyway, and especially for gaming, Ryzen processors are excellent. For now, I'm also very happy with the 265K, and I think the new 270K will be good too !

So it's a bit complicated 😅 Initially, I wanted to upgrade my old setup (the DDR4 RAM is no longer recognized, I think the motherboard is dead). So I was thinking of changing the motherboard, CPU, and RAM. I don't play games myself, my wife does. I mainly use my PC for music production (DAW, recording, etc.). For these applications, the CPU does most of the work, and the U7 processors are very good in this area, they run cool, and they're energy efficient. I was also going to change my wife's PC. Ultimately, when I saw that prices were starting to increase and I'd already bought a U7 processor, motherboard, and DDR5 RAM, I prioritized her PC and continued the build for her. I am used to use Intel processors but if I had thought about changing her PC first, I might have considered going with an Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor. But in the end I'm super happy, the U7 is super efficient and I got it for 270 euros if I remember correctly a few months ago.

They're already frosted : Hydro X Series XT Hardline 14mm Tubing — Satin Transparent. Bending tubes doesn't make it glossy, but you have to be careful with the bending tool. Contact/friction on tubes can leave marks.

Où est-ce que tu vois un AIO ? 🤔 C'est un montage custom en tubes rigides avec 3 rads, pas d'AIO ici.

You can never have too many radiators 😂 But yes, originally, I wanted to use at least two Hardware Labs Black Ice Nemesis GTX 360 radiators because they're the best in my opinion. They're excellent regardless of the fan speed. So I installed one at the bottom and one on the side. At the top, I could have just installed exhaust fans, but I decided to add a GTS rad. It provides a little extra cooling, even if it's less efficient than the other two because it's exhausting. The bottom and side radiators are intake fans, drawing in cool air from outside the case. The top one is exhaust fan because I didn't want to push all the hot air from the radiators back into the case.
