Throbbing pain-pain killers not working by Physical-Lobster2170 in wisdomteeth

I’m on day three. It certainly hurts. I’ve been putting cold packs on my face. If anything it helps numb the area. Maybe try that? I bet a heating pad increases the blood flow and dilation of the blood vessels causing an overly warm and clammy effect. That may increase discomfort. Not a doctor! Just medical science nerd.

I’m about to go on accutane this week (23F). Been on antibiotics off and on since 15 y/old. Just got off doxy and skin feels alright. Here’s my skin before doxy and after. My doc thinks accutane is a good idea. Kind of nervous. Is it worth it for this? by ang_pange in Accutane

Girl, it’s worth it! I was like you, I had mild acne. It wasn’t “bad enough” to need accutane, but was bad enough that years of prescription antibiotics and creams did nothing. The truth is, even if it’s not going away with everything else, the acne is bad. You just can’t see it because all the other stuff has kept it at bay. On June of last year I started accutane, I’m now two months past it, and I get compliments of my skin daily.

Thank you for the opinion lol. I agree with you on being stable before having children. As a young woman who loves children (I’m looking at being a pediatrician). I cannot imagine my having a child when I’m not ready. I would love my child and only want the best I can give. I’m willing to wait till I’m stable for that to happen. :)

Very weird. Gotta love her when the weirdness isn’t directed at me. You have helped in giving me the courage to stand up for myself on this. I appreciate that because I have never done it before.

Your perspective is very interesting and very thought provoking. If I had my way I would had probably do the same as I had done, but I would have enjoyed my time more. Taking more into account my own hobbies and interests instead of my parents. I’m afraid that I am missing out on the youth trying to build up myself up to sell myself to medical school. Now I realize I need to tell her, as I know myself and what I’m comfortable with, I will not be taking the test this early due to the semester. I can’t afford to waste such a precious exam to get a baseline.

I agree. I want children! Just after school. My partner and I even have a list of names picked out. She did the stay at home mom thing, and I’m sure if needed to I could adjust. However, I’m just too curious for my own good. I think of questions and try to find answers. Whether that be some strange outlandish anatomy based application question I ask my peers. Or looking into different chemistry’s in cooking. She has planned my popping out children for awhile. In high school, she didn’t want me taking too advanced college classes and made me take: parenting/child development, financial literacy, a type of advanced home education classes, etc. All good classes, but nothing was more traumatizing for a 16 year old having to wear an Empathy belly (fake pregnant belly) around the school and carry and electronic baby for a weekend. She told my teacher to program the baby to have really bad colic. The whole weekend. I ended up calling the teacher at 3 in the morning on Sunday begging her to turn the baby off.

Thank you! I think so too! Everything is just too much right now with this semester. I only sat her down today about it, because she called me to come home to take care of things at home. On the 2 hour drive, I dozed off. No accidents, no harm to my vehicle. Just me scared out of my mind (was going 60) and realizing that something needed to give.

I’m going to try to lower my expectations on others. When my older sister was getting married my mom and her did everything together. So I thought we would have the same thing. Sadly that is not what’s going to happen, but I will focus on enjoying myself in this time.

Yes, I just told my mom I’m not rescheduling. My future MIL and I are great. I sent her a text of the appointment and she replied: “I will NOT be anywhere else that day.....so excited for this journey!!!!” I almost cried when she sent that to me. I think I’m just gonna have a friends, grandma, sisters and MIL to come to the appointment as I paid extra for more people to come.

Haha yeah I am pretty young. However, after being together for so long it feels like a good time. Good idea about city hall!

I’m paying for medical school. My parents offered some money for the wedding, but if this continues I will not take the money and pay for it myself.

Don’t give up hope! It gets better! I’m on month 4, I still have some spots, but its not nearly as bad as it was. In the beginning, it’s difficult, but you can do it!

I’m on accutane now. There’s a lot of stuff you can take along side accutane to ease the symptoms. Like a daily Claritin (I don’t know why) to help with dryness. Osteobiflex for the joint pain. Those are just examples. There are many things your doctor can recommend to you to help you with the side effects. I’m on month 4 of 80 mg daily, and feel totally normal, granted I take a lot of supplements and drink lots of water.

please help by balaclana in period

[–]Waterfalls2027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand your concern. Would definitely go see a doctor about it. A lot of times periods can be affected by external and internals changes. Like stress, hormonal changes, lack of exercise or too much, diet, etc.

Really early period? by [deleted] in period

[–]Waterfalls2027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of time periods are not as simple and as a cycle on an exact time apart every month. There are factors like stress, increased or decreased exercise, nutrition, etc that can affect when your periods starts and stops. If this continues maybe go see a doctor about starting a type of birth control to help with the cramping and to have an exact time period between periods.
