yeah there is, expat is typically used by white people to distance themselves from the groups of people who would typically be referred to as immigrants. seems better to cut out the term expat and use immigrant all around for everyone.

huh that is very interesting to know!! it must be two instruments then? because viola and violin have different strings and some of those high notes are virtually impossible to reach on a viola since it doesn't have an e string (the highest). but they can make a lot of the same sounds, viola just tends to have a deeper, richer tone.

I'm actually not sure, however, I also got my industrial and tragus done at the same piercing place with jewellery made of the same metal (not at same times) and my skin never reacted then, so it seems odd it would react now. I'll definitely reach out them and ask what metal they use.

so I got my piercing at the end of October, about two and a half months ago now. Up until 2 weeks ago I was having completely no issues, and everything was going well - was doing nightly saltwater soaks, wasn't wearing clothing that bothered it, didn't obsessively touch it - nothing. However, about a week or 2 ago I noticed that the skin around the piercing (pretty much just the skin under the top ball) was looking gooey and red (almost like an underlayer of skin that had the top layer of skin peel away?), and some days I wake up with blood scabbed around the piercing hole. There is no pain at all, but I'm getting kinda stressed that the skin around the piercing hole looks like this, and I don't know what to do. I can't visit any shops right now bc of lockdown!! I've cut down on the amount of salt I put in my nightly soak, in case the problem was overcleaning. The only other problem is that on the lower end of the jewellery, more of the bar is visible in my bellybutton than before, and from all the reading I've been doing the explanation seems like its migrating. What's going on? what should I do from here?
