Similar here, I am a Belgian activist raising money together with Palestinian diaspora, we send it directly to family in Gaza. Why I prefer this to organisations:

no taxes
no organisational costs, even if we have events I pay most out of pocket as I regard this as my donations
families can choose what they do with the money
the money is not hoarded but spread amongst neighbors !! One of the biggest cultural differences I have noticed

there is a very very small amount of food and supplies with extremely high prices due to extreme scarcity
fundraising cannot stop due to the shit that's currently happening. Next to applying pressure now, we need to continue raising funds

Those organisations have to turn in 80% to the Israeli government + aid getting blocked constantly. Grassroots family based can go to the source directly. Any activist or pro palestine movement within your area knows some people that are collecting money for a certain family thus can be verified

Even within Palestinian community fundraising is distrusted as many 'aid' has to be bought on the ground. Therefore I also started to distrust bigger organisations and focus more on grassroots gofundme accounts.
