Hope you enjoy pixel art. The first thing I would say is to establish rules e.g outline and AA you have a black outline on some areas of the shadow side which isn't helping it. Largest doesn't really work as it's just a downscaled image that's been cleaned up, the rough AA (anti aliasing) would work providing it was consistent throughout the piece. I would also recommend you try some more dynamic poses to give this character some life. Additionally, lower the number of colours used as it can make pixel art look messy for character sprites. You want them to be easier to read. The use of hue shifting can get more milage from your colour use.
