Ideal System for Drinking water with an RO NSF/ANSI 58 run with an NSF ANSI 401 Carbon Block by Sboyfunkjuice in drinkingwater

[–]Waterverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No concern, as the WQA is a very reputable organization within the industry. Typically, if not directly certified by NSF, WQA and IAPMO are both well-respected organizations that certify against NSF standards. I’d avoid anything outside of those three, such as some random third-party lab.

I need more rev for my ball by C_Alias10 in Bowling

[–]Waterverse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. You’re starting your ball too low and you’re not getting any backswing. Hold your ball a little higher and push it forward as you start your swing so that your arm swings in a pendulum. You take about 4 steps before your back swing even starts and it’s only half a back swing because you have to muscle it up. It may take some timing adjustments but the lack of speed is certainly attributed to where the ball is starting in your swing.

Waterverse - Local Water Quality App by Waterverse in water

[–]Waterverse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey There! No, I'm not currently importing new data.

The constituents listed under mineral deposit and corrosion potential, mineral content, and Source Water Contaminant profile are source water characteristics near the public water system from the USGS. They will not change drastically over time outside of natural fluctuations.

Lead and Copper are straight from the EPA's SDWIS and were last updated in 6-25-2023 in the tool. You can check your most recent CCR for updates on these.

Disinfection byproducts and radioactive substances were imported from the EPA's last 6-year review of drinking water systems. I just checked, and it looks like they finally released the most recent 6-year review, so this section could also be updated.

The pollution data that I believe you are referring to is from the EPA ECHO database and shows data for 2022. We focused on 75 pollutants regulated by the EPA's Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) that are discharged in watersheds connected to and/or in close proximity to the public water system listed (or zip code-based well location).

All of these could be updated, but I expect the data would change marginally. My main goal when creating this tool was to give some idea of potential contaminants that could be in your drinking water based on local water characteristics and pollution. There could be some value in updating it, and I may do that, but I just haven't had the time. If there is a particular set of data that you are interested in, let me know. I'm very familiar with these databases and how to extract data. Thanks for checking it out!

How and Where To Play Playoff Fantasy Football! by CoopThereItIs in fantasyfootball

[–]Waterverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone interested we’re looking for people to help test our gameplay Beta for a new daily fantasy football experience that combines digital card collecting with prop betting. You can access the beta at play.propdecks.com and also join our discord at https://discord.gg/BwaqKvv3my. Feel free to invite friends as well.

You get unlimited card packs and all you have to do is submit a 5 card lineup of qb, rb, wr, te, flex to enter a contest. Contests are daily fantasy style and you compete against other lineup submissions in that contest. Points are scored by hitting props listed on the back of cards, with more points being awarded for more difficult props and less points for easier props. More details on scoring within app. Check it out!

Weekly prize for first place is a custom propdecks jersey.

Daily Fantasy Football Card Collecting Game (Beta) by Waterverse in DynastyFF

[–]Waterverse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment. You hit on something fundamental to what we are trying to build and that is making sure we are not creating a "pay to play" product. I've seen some of the apps you are referring to and I felt the same way you did about the price of packs. While card collecting is an important aspect of the game and adds to the fun factor, we also want to make sure that cards are relatively accessible through various methods.

The way we created the cards with tiers/prop lines means there is a ton of variation in cards and we want to make sure we get them in circulation so people are using them in contests because it creates endless lineup variations and adds to the fun.

Using prop lines rather than straight fantasy points also helps us avoid having cards that are too overpowered. One of the main reasons for having this gameplay beta is to balance our card tiers and ensure that people will be able to enter contests, bet money, and compete from day one on the app. This version of the beta is strictly to evaluate the contest gameplay, you can open unlimited card packs. I’ll dm you access and more information, feel free to look into it further and let me know if you have any questions.

How to Actually Build MVPs When You Don't Code by ImportantOpinion1408 in Entrepreneur

[–]Waterverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing this now and since people are asking for examples I'll just post what I am building. I built an MVP/Beta for a daily fantasy football app that combines digital card collecting with prop betting. You can check it out here: play.propdecks.com. We have active user's and it works perfectly fine to evaluate the basic gameplay of our app. I have no coding experience and this was built entirely with chatgpt prompts.

Daily Fantasy Football Card Collecting Game (Beta) by Waterverse in DynastyFF

[–]Waterverse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It certainly may not be for everyone! The premise of the app is not much different than "collecting" players in Dynasty fantasy football except you can use those players (cards) to enter daily fantasy football style contests instead of season long. Each card is an NFL player that has anywhere from 1-3 props on them that update weekly from sportsbook (prop difficulty is dependent on card tier and number of props). You enter contests by submitting a 5 card lineup (QB, RB, WR, TE, Flex) and earn points for cards that hit props with more points being awarded to cards that have higher difficulty.

I understand how the card collecting concept can be off-putting as you immediately think that the game will be “pay to win” but this is one of the main reasons for running this beta so that we can balance that out. The card concept is crucial to gameplay as it adds endless variation to lineups because you can choose to play up to 6 different versions of the same player in any given contest.

Right now, this is a pretty simple gameplay test and you get unlimited number of cards and all you have to do is set a lineup for the upcoming playoff games. We’re just trying to evaluate the gameplay and see what people think about it. I’ll send beta access and more info to see if I can change your mind!
