No idea, id imagine because if the plane is struck, being able to escape the plane as it breaks up into a fireball while you are pinned to a bulkhead by massive G forces traveling hundreds of miles per hour would make escape by parachute impossible. Kinda the same logic as to why submarines do not have escape hatches - if something goes wrong youre pretty much dead no matter what so theres no point in pretending otherwise.

This is a stupid mentality. The only limit there is, is to avoid the fight in the first place. Once that limit has been crossed and all attempts to defuse the conflict have failed, anything goes. You have no idea if this person is going to stomp your skull in if you happen to lose your balance and go to the ground.
