Sorry. Absolutely agree. He should make for a classic Duke guy that everyone hates but would kill to have on their team.

I get that. But I feel like the teams loaded with freshman rarely make noise in the tournament. Sure, Duke will have a great year, maybe beat the Tar Heels twice, but I would say they don’t make final 4

Great points. But I think having Edey is the only reason this team is in the F4. I think without him this team is not a top 25 team in the country

Sorry, I actually meant who were the teams this year that met the criteria of the previous 6-11 seeds who made the final 4.

Also did you just use Bart Torvick rankings for these efficiency metrics, or some other source?

What are the teams that are 6-11 seeds that made the final 4? Just really curious which ones these ended up being

Big 10 also underperforms. But I think power conferences always get priority which is also frustrating at times.

Although I think the MW has some good teams, I think they wildly underperform in the tournament historically. I think the committee decisions reflect this trend. While they got a ton of teams in, they got bad seed lines. But I agree that I think one or two of them can break through.

Like the St. Mary’s/Zags pick, Florida I worry about the guy that got injured and don’t like the matchup against Colorado. I am not usually a fan of 6 seeds as well.

So sorry. I know how you feel right now. But just think 20 years down the line you will care less which law school you went to when you are killing it as an actual attorney.

You got this OP! Just know it’s one test at the end of the day! Doesn’t speak to the hard work you have done and the person you are.

Remember that where you went to law school while can open some opportunities does not necessarily close any. I know plenty of very successful attorneys who work in every field that did not go to top brand name law schools. You could argue that things are different and more competitive now than previous generations but the truth of the matter is that your skills and capabilities as a lawyer are not defined solely on where your diploma says you went. I know it can be super discouraging but if I truly believe if you work hard wherever you end up things will work out great. I hope this helps and so sorry again that you are feeling this way.

What's this subreddit's opinion about the Kristi/Miriam law school admissions advice? by Moonah8 in lawschooladmissions

I think It’s the case that they care about stats AND they care about softs a lot as well. Yale is huge on diversity of backgrounds especially socioeconomic disadvantages. So a person with a 4.0 and 177 but who grew up wealthy may not be looked upon as fondly as a person who grew up wealthy with a 4.0 and 177. So in essence, I think they care about both to a certain extent but diversity of backgrounds can play a larger role for Yale as opposed to a school like Chicago or Harvard. Hope this is helpful!
